I tend to lean towards Priority Mail since I don't think I've ever had a package smashed by the mailman. It's also usually 2-3 day shipping right?
I usually go with USPS. I live in a condo complex with a locked front door. The mailman has a key, but with other couriers there's no guarantee he'll get in to deliver the box.

Fry's frustrates me a little bit because they only ship DHL. Since I'm never home at 1-2 PM when the package arrives, I always have to go pick it up at the DHL office.

I live in a townhouse and UPS has got in the habit of leaving packages on the front door step if I am not home.. my dvd burner from newegg got left outside all day in the rain until I checked the status of it finally later that night.

Test voltage for our Overclocking products is stated in our detailed spec sheets for each product. We do not recommend using voltages above our specified test voltage."

Doh. Was it ok?

Somehow UPS usually manages to get inside the door and leave the packages in the hallway. I don't know whether they have a key somehow, or they ring the bell and get buzzed in. If they just get buzzed in, I wish DHL would do that.

It was fine, box was pretty much gone but the packaing peanuts and the drive was wrapped in plastic bubble so that had it protected.

The only protection we have from weather is our backporch is covered

my luck- they will drop it to$29 next week- lol

I bought 20 today at $34 as well. I thought the price would have gone down, not up.

I would have bought that much if 32bit windows utilized all of 4GB natively ...
but I "only" got 8 sticks.... _

I will stay away from ewiz.com, I had bad experience, I bought a pair of STT memories It took a week to arrive and one of the them was DOA, I returned memorie and ewiz charged me 15% fee for bad stuffs they sold. Newegg is much better they never charge me restock fee, if the product DOA, I d rather pay a bit more to buy from newegg. Faster shipping and excellent CS.

Nice try

NEWEGG's "Standard Return Policy

* Return for refund within: 30 days
* Return for replacement within: 1 year

This is our Detailed Standard Return Policy. Unless another return policy is indicated, products sold by Newegg.com are covered by this Standard Return Policy. Merchandise under this Standard Return Policy may be returned a) within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund, or b) within one year of the original invoice date for a replacement of the same item. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All items returned for a refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee."

If you tried to return something to newegg for a refund and DIDN'T get charged a restock fee you got lucky. I usually have to order another product and give the order number to a CSR to get them to WAIVE the newegg restock fee on an RMA return for refund.

If you really wanted to save money you should have RMA'd the RAM for replacement, not refund. And if you don't like ewiz, then go to Super Talent direct as others have in the past.

I have shopped from all the major retailers, but newegg is quite painless if you have good intentions. For example I just got a new socket 939 SLI motherboard, but to car trouble, needed money. I sold my 939 setup, and told the CS rep that I have decided to cancel the 939 re-build and I'll go with Intel when I rebuild my system later this month. He authorized RMA of the unopened motherboard without a restocking fee. You have to admit that is very nice of them.

Newegg doesn't charge a restocking fee if the item is DOA (not working). It isn't a refund, it is a replacement.

BIGFOOTPI, nice try

I've on one occasion purchased an "open box" graphic card (last time I'll do that) from Newegg. Booted up with a multitude of colours didn't even know existed.

Promptly called Newegg and requested a RMA - No 15% restocking fee charged. Full refund was given including shipping charge, if I recall correctly. Also had a similar experience when I had to return a Logitech mouse. Was utterly painless, and quick.

I have used eWiz's RMA service before, a few times, and I was never charged a restocking fee to get a DOA part replaced.

Got 4 sticks today, stuck them in the machine and they booted just fine at 915 with 5-5-5-15 timings....

CPU-Z sees 8gb and there has not been any stability problems...

I will run them here for a while and, maybe, see if I can get them up to 1000

EDIT 12/19: Running 4 of these sticks at 950 (380x2.5) without a glitch. Maybe it's just my imagination, but the system has not crashed once since I replaced my 4gb of PC8500 Mushkin with these sticks.. AND, the Mushkin was running at 915

Are you replying to me or him?
He's the one complaining about restock on REFUND. He didn't mention replacement. My quoted policy comments were about refund, not replacement, but I did say he SHOULD have done a replacement. So what you said- "It isn't a refund, it is a replacement." makes no sense in regards to our posts. Were you trying to just repeat what i said in a different way?

OPEN BOX is different. They do NOT charge restock fees on open box defective refunds, because they do not replace open box items due to unpredictable/unavailable stock. And refund on shipping is YMMV.
