there's only three watches...that qualify for the free one-year...they're the Timex Internet Messenger....all the same except three different colors

They cancelled my order after I asked if it would be shipped, then notified me that it shipped yesterday. Nice thing about this watch it that it sets the time automatically. Great $32 toy.

Even if it doesn't mention it, I think all watches come with a free year of service. I finally got around to activating mine this morning. It tells you to go to http://www.skytel.com/timex to do it. First thing the page says is you get a year of service without ever asking for where/when you got it. All you do is put in the code that is on the back of the watch. So I'm sure all watches get the year free.

I think only the "Internet Messenger" watches qualify for one year free service. If you look at the details page for the "Beepwear" watches, like the brown $29 one, it says:

"No other discounts or promotions apply to this item" in RED text.

I think they mean the free service promotion. I doubt they would sell a brand new model $29 watch with a whole year's service.

As for the Internet Messenger watches, I picked up the grey one a couple of months ago for $56 ($70-coupon) and that was a great deal. Just picked up a silver one for $32 last week before they went out of stock...awesome deal! I thought they were clearing these out, so I'm surprised to see them back on the site at $70 again...

I had the $29 watch. It is a pager watch and not a internet messenger watch and thereefore not eligible for 1 yr free Skytel. Traded it in for the $56 internet messenger watch (discount code found at the chubby site)

Yes this $29.00 watch comes with a years free service AND if you go to Timex.com, look in bargins. The watch is still listed at $29.00 although there is only one style left. I received 2 of them last week and YES they DO have the year free service!!! They also have a "pro" version of this watch which will hold 150 names and numbers but does NOT come with a years free service.
Not sure where some of these guys get their smoke from but it's better than I have.

Yes 2 of them I'm looking at right now. "1 year free Skytel service" sticker on the outside of the box. Xmas presents so I haven't opened them yet but they are idential to the one I also have on my wrist. Now the "pro" version I also purchased does NOT come with the service. I am going to see if Skytel will transfere the service to the "pro" version. hehehe

i had a discussion with a rep regading this bec I ordered the 29 watch then read here that service wasnt included so I called before opening the box. She told me the Beepwear watches ie $29brown one DO NOT include the free year while the internet messenger watches do.

So, Id say if the description says Beepwear dont count on the free year...Luckily I returned the two I bought despite the no return policy bec I did buy the internet messenger watch as well so she let me slide on it.

Is any1 else having trouble activating the watch? After i put in the cap code it says error; email or call skytell. Is callign and telling them it doesnt work free and much quicker? Advice please. Thanks.
