received my watch today, ig ot the silver one. For some reason online activation isn't working for me.

Same problem for me. They say to e-mail skytel-activation@wcom.com, but they don't say what information to include. I'll send that 'CAP' number and see what happens...

Has anyone that was having activation problems been able to solve them by emailing skytel-activation@wcom.com? My activation is also not working this morning and I'm wondering what's worked for others.

Online activation didn't work for me and I e-mailed them at skytel-activation@wcom.com. They requested the following information in order to activate the watch:

- Capcode
- Serial number
- Address
- Service plan
- Phone Number

For service plan, I specified that this was the free offer and included the links to the pages offering 1 year of free service on both the Timex and Skytel sites. I guess if you include all that information in your initial request it may speed things up a bit.

I first contacted them last wednesday, sent the additional info on friday, and I'm still waiting for them to activate the watch.

I also tried to activate by phone, but the CSR confirmed there is a $20 charge for phone activation. He said he sent an e-mail to his colleagues in charge of e-mail activation, though: he asked me for the CAP, serial number, frequency, etc. and forwarded it to them.

I had similar problems with activation and called up a CSR. They activated my watch with no charge. Now the only problem I am having is recieving pages from email. I can get them fine from the website form, but not regular email, anyone having this problem?

I also called a CSR and she said there would be no $20 charge, but my CAP and serial were not "in the system," so she would submit them and call me back within 24 hours with the PIN, etc. I just told her I was activating the free year on the watch and she knew what I was talking about.

Never mind I called CSR and they activated it for me and paged me with my pager number. She also gave me a PIN number but I won't be able to access my account for 24-48 hours. I tried email and 1-866- telephone paging they both work.

Another thing: you can't get caller ID in the page itself?

Yes mine did give caller ID for pages.

BTW- I just returned my watch b/c I was missing about 2 of every 10 pages even in the middle of the coverage area. I didn't like those stats, so I went back to my old style pager. Bummer- what a cool watch too Thought about keeping it just for the FLEX time!

I can't get the "Del All" to work. It will not delete any messages at all. I'll wait 5 mins and still nothing. I have to sit there hitting 'Del Page' for each and everyone. Do I have a buggy watch or is this just the way it is with everyone's timex pager watch.?

I have had mine since July. Do not think I will pay the $99 to continue.

When the 1 year ends, it becomes a normal watch (chrono, alarm, etc.)

It has 2 time methods: "normal" (which always works - you set the time manually) and "Flex Time" which adjusts itself based on a signal from SkyTel. I am not sure if the "Flex Time" will continue to work after 1 year if you do not "renew" with SkyTel.

But still a good watch....
