Lol, you nubasorous. www.cd-2-dvd.com has tutorials on all the conversions, I just did it a few minutes ago for FarCry (5 CD's...eek!).

I got the dvd version from gogamer, and it came very fast via media mail. But as someone else posted, I too did not get a cd key. I know it's not gogamer's fault, but it sucks that I can't play online and will have to wait.

GREAT GAME, yes I Still play, the problem with 99 vs 2k4, is that 2k3 was lost inthe dust because that game was SO weak compared to 2k4. if you ever play 2k3 , youll notice the controls are loose, just not as tight as the original.
I think ut2k4 is one of the best fps made since q3 imo. I will have this on my harddrive and playing it until 2k7 comes out. (assuming they have the same gametypes)

My FPS of choice is ut2k4

I STILL play UT 99, because it's only the best game ever created ;-)

And 2k3 sucked so much that I didn't every want to try 2k4 (scared they would ruin it...), but now I want 2k4, as it sounds pretty awesome...

Not to mention the Tactial Ops team is working on a new mod for it!

What!?! You didn't get a CD key? What are you to do then? Did you have to call up Atari or something? Is this apparent on DVD versions only?

My CD copy should be here tomorrow or Thursday from the Egg. Is there anything to worry about with the CD versions?

From the raves about UT2004 rocking so much, I can't wait! I have UT2003 and you guys seem to say that was bad, but I didn't mind it at all. Then again, I didn't play it too much. Is the $10 upgrade rebate still going on? If so, then I will be paid $1 to have this game!

Just got my dvd edition from Gogamer - what's this business about no cd key? My copy is sealed so I have no idea if it came with one or not, and now I'm afraid to open it.

If I didn't get a cd key, how do I get Atari to give me one?

i think it is pretty rare that people don't get cd keys (but there is another person in this thread that didn't get one). I'm sure gogamer will accomodate me.

Answer:
Physical location of the CD-Key

The CD-Key is available on the inside of the folder that contains your CD set. It should be visible through the plastic tray that holds CD 1. On the DVD version of the game, it is printed on a label inside the left side of the DVD keep case, underneath where the game manual is located. It is four sets of five alphanumeric characters.

If you are missing the CD-Key, take the product back to the store it was purchased from to exchange it.

my dvd version is missing the key as well. CSR said it was common and they have been getting calls all day. emailed them for a key... kinda wanted to play right now though

I just got mine and it didn't ahve the cd key. I called them up (after searching EVERY millimeter again and again trying to see if I had missed something...). I was still in the car, driving so I asked the CSR if he could email it to me...he did. It was waiting for me by the time I got home 15 mintues later...It's installing now. I'm just curious if I'll ever get the "ANOTHER PERSON WITH THE SAME CD KEY IS LOGGED IN" msg ever...I feel dodgy having to recieve my cdkey via email...Oh well It was only $12

Just called them (Gogamer), they got me a key within 3 minutes. Very polite, very quick.

They also said that the cd key would be associated with my order, or something to that effect. I'm pretty surprised that it was that easy.

What the hell? Where are they getting their keys? gi0rgi0, did you get the DVD version as well?

I hope my NewEgg's CD-version has a key...I would also feel very cheated to get a key via e-mail...that's pretty weak. Seems as if GoGamer got their latest UT2004 shipments via eBay from a seller in Nigeria. :Q

I called Gogamer. Like I said, they were very helpful and gave me the key over the phone. I'm about to install and try it out.

i emailed the help desk at gogamer and got a response with a cd key in a matter of minutes. no harm no foul

I had the same problem. No CD key with the DVD version. Called GoGamer and received it over the phone. Didn't have any problems with online play either.

I installed my copy from Gogamer last night and played online without any problems (using the cd key they gave me over the phone). The copy they sent me seems genuine.

according to the tech support letter I just got from gogamer, Atari shipped a large quantity of these out to some retailers without the key. So when you are calling about a key they are actually getting a list of keys to distibute from Atari it seems....... to me thats a lot easier than making everyone return what could be hundreds of CD\DVDs that are otherwise working fine. I see nothing shady about that.
