I ordered relatively early...

One thing that confuses me is that my friend ordered two, 1 at 3:38 PM and the other at 3:40 PM. The one at 3:40 PM is cancelled, while the one at 3:38 PM remains intact. And people above say that theirs, ordered at 9 AM and 11 AM are cancelled.

Maybe its being cancelled differently per warehouse?

I'm cancelled I guess. Account shows no orders. oh well I never ordered before from amazon and sure don't plan to after this. Guess i'll reorder the his 9800p iceQ from newegg for 249.00. looks good to me if you want the vga silencer and ram sinks installed with no danger of warranty voiding. Take off the cooling and that makes card price bout 210.00

Well, I decided to call their 1-800 number around customer support to see why my orde was cancelled (played dumb) and I was given some song and dance about how Visiontek can't supply the quantity needed. I asked why I never got an email telling me they had cancelled my order, "sir, sometimes that happens, I apologize..."

I was told I'd get a $20 coupon to apply to a future purchase via email. Not sure I want to give them any more of my business at this point. Heck, they could have been a bit more forthcomeing about all of this.

What dissapoints me about this is it seems people who ordered AFTER me are still going to get fulfilled. What was the logic here??

I think everyone who got cancelled should call and raise cain. At a minimum we can cost them a bunch in $20 coupons!!

i agree. if enough of us call, they will do more than that. they won't want to dissapoint that many people.
i encourage any of you that have received a cancellation with or without notice to call and throw a fit. i will if mine gets cancelled.
actually, i might call anyways, even if my order follows through. advertising a price and an in-stock status on a product, then cancelling it without even contacting the customer is bad business, and i would think it qualifies to be labeled as False Advertising.

Yeah I dont think ill ever buy from amazon.com again. Second time they have cancelled my order without notifying me, I mean sure the first time they might have made a price mistake, but apparently this one isn't and both times they've canceled without notifying me which really gets me teaed. Yeah I might be tryin to get away with a mistake the one time, but this one isn't. but not notifying me is another wrong and two wrongs dont make a right.
