Hey KerriAnn, what's your game now, can anybody play? Couldn't resist; old song with similar name. Anyway, got the cancellation. For new members to AT Deals forum, this is to be expected when pretty obvious price mistakes are posted on websites such as Amazon. They used to make good, if you will, with coupons, etc., but learned they really didn't have to; that people would still shop there.

With these kinds of things you get lucky sometimes, but most times, not. Nothing lost and worth a shot to try and get in.

Some people think that price mistakes need to be honored as a matter of principle. They have stated policies about them, so it's not as if the information about the policy isn't available. Let's face it, Amazon et. al. have literally thousands of products to sell. The occasional price error is to be expected. Frustrating? Sure.

To be honest, if I found a big "error" such as that, I wouldn't be sharing it with the forum until I got my product. Once the deal hits the 'net and thousands of people order, red flags go up all over the place. That's selfish, I guess, but only temporarily so, lol.

You have a point there. However, if everyone was selfish and chooses not to share with the public, then how can the "hot deals forums" be hot? Why not then just name it the deals forums?

bleh. would much rather have the video card, but $10 was worth the time it took to place the order and then make the phone call to customer service, i guess.

Im not going to call for a 10 buck coupon because I wont be doing any business with amazon. I cussed em out in a email.

Bah, the csr told me that they were not providing coupons for this problem and if they were they would be in the form of a mass mailing to those customers who purchsed the item.

Lol, I expected not to get it. You guys that are acting upset, are you sincerely mad about not getting one? Oh well, I got in on a refurb 9700 pro at Newegg for 140 so I guess that's consolation for me .

Yep, I got $20 out of them. My last order ever with Amazon will be to use that $20.

I understand that it was probably a price mistake (albeit not an unreasonable one imho given the next generation of cards are due out hortly and these proces will probably be the norm), but they have handled it exceptionally poorly. I oder 3 hours after the deal hits and guys who order a day later are still scheduled to get one? Just a crummy way to run a business.

No $10 or $20 coupon was available for me but I did tell them I was displeased with the cancelled order. This seems to happen a lot at Amazon.

Why some people with the same situation received up to $20 and others nothing I have no idea.

Hope we find a good deal on the 9800 Pro soon.
