And for all those grunting about "you won't get anything!", I don't really care. Placing this order took me all of 30 seconds, and I lose nothing if it doesn't go through. For any questionable hot deals, I always look at risk of investment vs. return. This was a no-brainer.
This from the Slickdeal thread for this deal:
OK.
I just talked to a CSR at Amazon.com and here is what he told me: He told me that there had been a pricing error, however they were going to uphold the bulk majority of the order that were ordered - the cutoff being the number of stock requested to the manufacturer Visiontek. As long as the originally ordered stock from Visiontek arrives to the Amazon warehouse, then first number of orders placed within the Amazon stock WILL BE SHIPPED. The only possibility of cancellation, at least on MY order (i placed my order early enough and made it within the Amazon stock limit) would be if Visiontek is unable to fullfill the original stock request from Amazon.
Soooo.... for the most part, it looks like there is fair chance that I might get my card. Looks like Amazon is going to honor the pricing - though that whole tidbit about not getting requested stock from Visiontek sounded like a loophole in case they change their mind.
I was told that my order was being processed normally with no flags on the account and that I should expect my card in early to mid April (if not sooner).
