Bestbuy has this for $199-$75MIR. Circuitcity has this for $149.98-$40Gift Card. Bought from BB, then price match CC's $149.98.
$199.99-$55(BB 110% diff match)-$75=$70+tax.
Just scored 2 with no problems. CC website says $199.99, but the store has a sale tag for $149.98. I just asked the CSR to make a copy of the tag for me and took the tag for pm.

So the BB employee's dont care about the fact that BB is offering a rebate of 75 dollars, which lowers it to 125 dollars?

And when you bought two, did you buy them on seperate orders as to get both rebates?

One CSR did mention the rebate thing, but the other guy said, " Just go ahead to do it" . I did buy them seperately. The rebate form says,"Offer is limited to one rebate check per eligible product purchased."

I still have my 80 dolar gift certificate from the last 80 gig drive that I bought from Best-Buy.

If this goes thorugh, that'll be two 80 gig drives for 130 bucks.
Lets just hope they wont care about the rebate. Has anyone encountered a problem where they denied because of the rebate lowers the price?

do you have to use Amex? I'm not really sure how it works... it looks like you bought it at CC before buying it at Best Buy - is that what I have to do, or just a copy of the price? I want to do this right! Also, will a Best Buy in another state accept printouts of your scans from Bakersfield? Or should I go to my local Circuit City and hope they have the same price? Thanks for your help; this seems like one of the best deals I've found yet! (if I can make it work!)

I did this yesterday in the SF Bay Area and am planning to get a second drive today. The best thing is that if you look at the Best Buys rebate it only asks for the sticker on the retail box designating the size of the drive not the UPC! You can then use the UPC on the drive to get the $40 gift card from Circuit City!

Someone confirm this for me with their Best Buys rebate form.

I think that's pushing it I got two of these, plus two Maxtor 40GB for $50 after MIR & GC PLUS Radeon 8500 for $70 after MIR

Woot! got one at the W. LA store and PM'ed at the Westwood store......even thought it took me about 2 hours, it's still a good deal!

I forgot to add, don't go to the Westwood one to buy the drive because they have none in stock even though the computer says they have 3. Also if you pricematch at the Westwood store, look for the girl supervisor. My friend got a guy manager and he refused to PM because my friend doesn't have an ad. For all those who are going to CC to get the ad, don't.....the ad states the price to be 199. I asked the guy working at CC and he said it might've been a misprint in the ad. Good luck for those who haven't gotten in on this HOT HOT deal.

I called the BestBuy near me and asked if they would PM Circuit City at $150 and he said "well we are cheapier, after rebate"... looks like I need to try to convince them a little harder.
