im in buffalo and i would try but the local BB doesn't have them in stock, however they're telling me when they come in (hopefully in the next 2-3 days), they'll be $199 for the 120gig drive. now im just hoping they come in stock soon or i may just run into BB and steal the shelf tag too ;o) this is REALLY a great deal, thanks GetReal!

However, I just called the King-of-Prussia CompUSA store, and they are saying that there is ZERO availability in all of the stores in the area (philadephia, wilmington, Springfield, Montgomeryville, etc.). However, the guy who answers when you call about availability is actually somewhere else, NOT at the store itself - he's probably looking at similar information as what is on the website about availability. So, He COULD be wrong. A deal this good is worth stopping by my local Compusa to see for myself...

I bought mine Sunday at King of Prussia, did the PM today, this deal is too good to be true, I feel like I should have been arrested before I got to the door. Have no idea if they had the drive in stock though, I only had time to stand in the customer service line and then I had to split...wife's having child #2 tomorrow

Well, I hit the best buy and compusa in Ann Arbor, MI and was disappointed. Best Buy was very nice and scanned the price for me and even said "smart man" when i mentioned the price match.
I then walked over to Compusa. They were sold out so the manager said they were selling rainchecks... i asked about the pricematch and she said they couldnt because that took them below the cost of the drive for them.
I'm gonna try again tomorrow when a diff manager is there (i've had problems at this compusa before), and if no luck there I'll hit the one in Columbus when I'm there.
Any other manager issues for anyone?

I walked into BestBuy to verify the price was $199.97. Check the stock and they had four.

Went to CopUSA and the manager didn't even hesitate on selling me (and a buddy I was Christams shopping with) the drive for $199.97 and he explained to me how to get the $100 rebate.

$99.97 for a 120GB hard drive!!! Awesome... thanks to GetReal!

Oh yeah, I live in Omaha if there are any Nebraskians that read this deal.

I managed to get on this deal earlier today. At Best Buy I photocopied the price tag for the drive at one of those all-in-one printer/scanners that was on display. Showed the manager at CompUSA and he price matched without a problem.

I payed $215.22 incl. tax for the drive in California. The receipt shows nothing out of the ordinary so it should be good for the rebate. The model # on the drive and the rebate are exactly the same: WD1200BBRTL

i went to the local compusa today to pick up this drive, and just when the salesperson was ready to pricematch for me, another salesperson walked by and informed us that since there's the rebate, no pricematch! darn.... no luck. came back empty-handed.

i'm thinking about going back tomorrow with a printout of krasten's receipt. do you guys think that will improve my chance? how likely are they going to look at the receipt from another store and go, "okay, i guess we'll pricematch it"?
