>>>Is it just me or is the rebate showing up as only $60 instead of $75 and already expired....?<<<

Depends which rebate form you're looking at. One is expired and $60 and the other is $75 and valid for purchases through 4/4/02.

>>>So correct me if I am wrong, but total after rebate and pricematch with tax and shipping = $62.76. I suppose that's still way better than $113.00, but still...it's NOT $38.00.<<<

$199.99-$75.00-$86.99=$38.00+around $7 shipping for most of us.

Awesome deal! I just got in.

What are the chances that the price will go down in the next 2 months. I was wondering if I should just PM now <no, I am not using blue, I have a Amex Starwood Platinum> before the price stays the same and get my money back

I called Outpost.com about the wrong rebate on the site. He said the rebate should come in the box with the harddrive. No worries untill I get the box ...

BTW, pcbuyerclub has it for $113 now

Please pardon the newbie to PM deals

Is AMEX Blue the only AMEX card that will PM. What are the fees for AMEX Blue?

TIA!

grey market cameras are mechanically the same. the big difference is the warranty. a grey market camera does not have a US warranty. its warranty is wherever the camera was supposed to be, taiwan or india or wherever. the mechanical product is the same, the stuff that comes with the product is not. so yeah, PMing a retail version to an OEM version is the same thing as PMing to a grey market version as far as computer parts go. the dude who told you to find the lowest price is subject to termination and civil and criminal penalties if that call was recorded and a manager reviews it.

Looks like Amex knows about the rebate and will likely take $75.00 into account for those that pricematch this drive :Q

Where do you get that info, Justincase? I thought they never included after-sale (as opposed to instant) rebates...

Ah, but they DO when they KNOW about the rebate :Q

Here's a little snippet from another site:

"I called last night and the Amex CSR told me, without [me] mentioning a thing about it, that the rebate would make the PM invalid. She recommended I don't even bother filing a claim and return the drive. She said that her section is already talking about denying all the claims. "

Since people started calling and asking about whether a rebate would be figured in...and since people started calling in their pricematches en masse on the day of their purchase, even before their drives ship out. Very clever, people.

Exactly! You mo f*ckin ppl ruin the good deals for everone. "I called AMEX and filed my claim already" What kind of sh*t is that!?!? You don't call the damn minute you buy it. Jeez wait a week. Heck, wait 5 weeks. I always file my claims atleast a month after. And you ask why BLUE is not gonna have BVG anymore? Atleast being a gold member i'll still have it. If they try to deny my claim i have plenty of stuff to give them to why they shouldn't. I haven't had one denied claim yet, and it better not start now cause idiots call in and ask will this work since theres a rebate on it. Oh well, maybe in a month theyll forget that it had a rebate.

Well stated, Justincase!

For all the nervous a$$s that called for the BVG the day of purchase, thanks for ruining it for the rest of us. If you are so nervous that you are going to loose $80 and need to know RIGHT NOW, you don't need to be reading this board or others like it, or you need therapy.
