In Sunday's San Jose Mercury Newspaper then there was a Kragen Auto Parts Ad and on the back page then there's a coupon for Trico Wiper Blades. 2 FOR $12. My Honda Accord usually is supposed to cost $24 but i got it for $12....YMMV though. My brother has an Acura Integra and his are usually like $20 for regular price so it all depends. I think the coupon expires 05-24-2003 though so get out there if you need new blades....but don't put them on till after summer. The sun really kills the rubber. Just a tip on how to keep your blades in good condition. And then you can always keep the old ones to use just for summer and switch back and forth.

Sorry man but wiper blades aren't expensive. Use blade refills for even greater savings.

(I also like rain-x wiper fluid. It's much more convenient than regular rainx.)

Problems with using blade refills, is that over time, the springs in the wipers get weak and dont give enough pressure from the blade to your winshield and you wont get the best wipe. This is why it's better to replace the whole blade and holder, not just get the refill.

And I think Rain-X is awesome, I use it on my rear winshield, side windows, and mirrors. However, I've stopped using it on the front winshield because using Rain-X causes the wiper blades to skip across your winshield when they wipe.

Also, I don't think $12 for a pair of wipes is a HOT deal...I'd say it's warm. It all depends on the brand. If it's $12 for a set of Anco's or Bosch, then I'd say it's Hot, but not for some regular brand.

My $0.02

There are no springs in the replacement holder. They're all under the arm of the wiper, which is a dealer part. You shouldn't need to replace this part unless it gets damaged. The only time you need to buy replacement holders is if you are switching to a different kind of blade. I switched to those Trico teflon blades and they're great... however the OEM mazda ones weren't too shabby either, and they were cheaper.

Yeah I was about to say that too.. anybody that has problems with wiper tension should be blaming their cheaply made car not the blades themselves...

Any decent pair of blades (Bosch, etc.) should last at good 4-5 refills after the first set (with a properly tensioned wiper assembly) before starting to deteriorate that's about 2-3 years depending on how often you swap out to the refills and I live in Seattle so believe me when I say I know my wiper blades LOL , anyone else would probably get far more refill useage out of their blades because it rains here all the time I'm sure they don't last as long as they would elsewhere..
