Probably. I'm guessing the wheel will be somewhere around $100 since it's the first wheel I've heard of that has 900 degrees of rotation. Then the game alone will cost $50-$60. Then even a refurb PS2 will be around $90 or so. :-D

I did the same and got the PS2. The original deal was $150 after rebate and included any game for $9.99 and that POS game organizer thing (worth like $10). My FYE (in Poughkeepsie, NY) was liberal enough with the deal that they were pretty much willing to give me anything on the wall that was worth $19.99. I took ATV Off-Road Fury - a classic!

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I picked up an XBOX this last week(not the Sega bundle though). Took the free game I got with it into Circuit City and got them to give me a $20 store credit, so I of course picked up Halo there and paid the $30 difference. Take into account the $30 mail in rebate and I bascially bought an XBOX for $180 and got Halo for free. I also got Coconuts to throw the Matrix DVD in free (even though that promo was over) cause they still had signs up advertising it. I already own the DVD though and finally found a friend of mine who didn't, so I'm sending it to him. Plus, the DVD came with a $5 mail in rebate for Animatrix, which I plan on getting, and it came with a free ticket to see Reloaded. All in all this was a great deal! Thanks again!!!!!

Damn. That's a nice deal. You can watch the Animatrix, then Reloaded again, then when you get the urge to shoot something or beat something you can play Halo.

Got similar deal on PS2 in Chicago FYE. The game (PAC-MAN World)was $14.99 so they gave me additional credit of $5.00.

has anyone submitted their rebates and have had it posted on rebateshq.com?? i'm wondering because the status of my rebate is invalid since it says i sent the wrong upc label. i sent in an xbox instead of the playstation 2 upc symbol, which is stupid since i purchased an xbox, and clearly marked the xbox on the rebate form. hopefully it was just an isolated incident, and rebateshq will fix this. thanks.

I had the same problem. They sent me an email saying that they recieved the wrong upc. I'm not sure how this could have happened. I guess I'm gonna have to talk to the rebateshq people or mail a copy of the stuff. Lets keep each other updated of status.

btw, does anyone have any verification on whether the new PS2 Online Pack (new progressive scan model with network adapter) included the DVD remote? I didn't see it mentioned on the E3 link, just that they built in the IR receiver. Thanks.

I also checked the status of my rebate and it says it's processing and that I should get it within the next 30 days. It also says that it was for a PS2 even though I bought an XBOX. Maybe that's why others are having trouble as there may be some confusion that the rebate is for both the XBOX and PS2 and the rebate company may not know this.

As far as the new PS2 goes, I also haven't heard of it coming with the DVD remote. I believe you still have to buy the remote separately, but that it will work with the built in IR sensor.

i guess they still have alot of inventory of the old version. they even had a bunch at the Playstation store in s.f. next to the new online pack version.
