I got the bundle from my local walmart.
Both games are good and soild and much better that the Sega GT/Jet combo before.
btw, MechAssault and Splinter cell come with seperate DVD disc in retail packing, unlike the Sega Gt/Jet combo

Can someone tell me if there xbox was a resealed package. Looks as if they opened up old xbox boxes and put the games in and slap on the new labels... or I just got a return from someone. Can someone please tell me. Also the manufactured date is 12-02-02

The manufactured date for my walmart-bundle xbox in Dec 2002 also.
The bottom seal was broken and resealed. I guess they opened up some of them and rebundle with the two games

Thanks for confirming this. Just wanted to besure I wasn't getting a return from someone who messed up their Xbox. I figure they opened up some xboxes and put the games in as I can see 2 games floating around inside. Also looks like they removed the shrink wrap on the games, I suppose to prevent returns of the game.

MechAssault is alright, Xbox Live is fun though. Splinter Cell is awesome, best single player I've played since KOTOR

Splinter Cell was too trial-and-error oriented. Once you realized what the patterns were, you could tear thru the areas like a shot. Anyone ever play it a second time to see how short the game is when you know where all the stuff is?

KOTOR is a bargain at even $50! I played over 50 hours the first time thru and there are so many side quests and light/dark choices to make, the replayablility is off the chart. If they significantly bump the visual quality up, I'll buy it for the PC as well.

Kotor=star wars Knights of the old republic. It's a bad ass star wars game. It's a 3rd person rpg. The graphics are ok, but the game play and story make it a great game. it's kind of glitchy too. There's only 2 game that you really NEED to get for xbox, halo and kotor. Both are great games.

This has happened with previous XBox bundles as well. Retailers are sent out box stickers and the games. Either that, or the stickers ad games are sent right to the warehouses and distributed from there. They just open the boxes up and slip them right in, then put the "TWO FREE GAMES" stick on the box

Been to over half a dozen Wal-Marts in 3 states, and not a one of them knew what I was talking about. Even with the print-out, they wouldn't give me the deal. Guess I'll have to order it from them. Not a big deal, but I was hoping to save a few bucks on the shipping price.
