WARNING !!! WARNING !!!

These cards have 0 warranty in the U.S.A. !!!!
Zip. Zilch. Nada.

If you buy this card, you are on your own if it dies outside of the e-tailers return period.
Nice catch D&C. It appears you are correct:

"...Such limited manufacturer warranty is valid only for end customers domiciled within the European Union, in Switzerland, Iceland or Norway..."

where did you find the thing about europe? what i found is that with registering the card within 14 days with Zotac, you get 5 years of warranty, however if in China, it is only 3 years. I couldnt find anything about Europe on Zotac's website. It does come with a 30 day warranty from FXvideocards
@ JWade, if you go to the warranty registration page and click on the "Disclaimer" link with the printer icon next to it near the bottom of the page, another window pops up with all of the conditions. That's where I copied the quote from.

if it had ultra cool heatsink id go for a no warranty card but in general go with bfg / xfx lifetime warranty.. but if you only have 88$ then this might be for you.. have seen them go for 100$ recently used so ya good deal and defiantly interesting

How do you guys feel about using this card in an HTPC? The computer has an E1200 (dual core Celeron) that I will overclock to 2.6+ ghz. The computer will be mostly used for watching movies and listening to music but an occasional game here and there will likely happen (720p DLP projector). I was thinking of getting one that could help decode HDTV etc and one that's quiet but for the price this seems like a real deal. The case is a mid tower so I have plenty of room.

For your needs, all you truly need is a 3470 or maybe a 3650 if you want to game a bit. Nvidia is based around pushing FPS to the limit, while sacrificing image quality.

This is why Sony, Olievia, Phillips, Westinghouse and Samsung all use ATI graphics processors/decoders in their HDTV's.

I'm not biased one towards the other, as i just bought the card in question.

Not necessarily the case with image quality. Nvidia has come a long way in IQ tests and bests ATi now. Case in point.

Case in point? Assasins Creed has a bug with ATI cards, so thats with AF disabled and the 8800 has it enabled. Not an actual comparison at all.
