i start with a quick sear, then flambe with some port, and finish by pressure cooking, topped with a au jeaux reduction sauce

jeaux isn't even pronounced the same way.

Why boil? Straight onto the grill is the only way for me, god they taste awesome. And once you upgrade to the big 1/4 pounders, you can't go back. And if you eat the Hebrew National dogs, you'll go to heaven.

Hebrew National? Ewwwww. Use Roessler or Hummels instead. Real dogs should be a mix of beef and pork and have a nice strong natural casing to hold in the juice and provide a nice firm bite.

bratwurst is even better if you want a snappy bite, and it doesn't contain nitrites.

I love brats. Alas they take a lot more time and effort to cook. You need to plan ahead.

Butterfly then and fry them in some butter, salt, pepper and sweet onions. Top with the onions and add mustard and/or guacamole. A bag of chip and some cheap American beer completes the meal.

I know what's for dinner tonight!
