Hotmail Down For Anyone Else?

It's 8:30am EST, and I can't get into my Hotmail account.

I was on it just before coming in to work (about 8A MST)

I just tried again, and am in my account as I type this. (9:15A MST)

Maybe its a regional problem?

It's been down for about 12 hours now. It seems really weird.

I am able to access it, in fact I am logged in right now.

Working in it all morning long...it's been slow, but useable. The MSN Communities (similar to the forums here) server has been gawd-awful slow, though, and keeps popping up with "Server temporarily overloaded, please try later" messages periodically.

I have a feeling I know what's going on, though. MSN has been touting a rework of the Communities site (which is rather closely tied to Hotmail and Passport); they may be getting ready to roll that out this coming weekend.

And, if anyone's interested, the activity level involving a Community that is for recovering CR victims is really going through the roof - seems that some of them are finding out they aren't going to be able to recover their money as quickly or easily as they had hoped.

GTaudiophile, try clearing out your cache and deleting all of your cookies (or at least the ones that have Hotmail in them somewhere).

If you were signed on and got bounced out, there may be a problem with a hanging cookie. (Hmm, wonder if that's anything like a dangling chad... )
