Hotmail over-filtered for me, until I added a bunch of things to my safe-senders list. I can't say I've ever had spam get through the filter in recent times.

I use .live email in conjunction with my service provider's email every day. I am happy with this set up.
I also have a gmail account for occasional use.

Havent used hotmail in almost a decade. I didnt like it when I was able to get gmail, so I used gmail. Ive been using it for several years now and love it. Have loads of stuff tagged, filters setup, can get it anywhere, can check it on my phone...im not remotely interested in switching.

I tried windows live outlloook live that our school has....jesus hell I hate it. I redirect everything to my gmail account. Is hotmail like outlook live?

I don't hate on it just to hate, I hated it while I was using it several years ago, then switched to Gmail when it came around and had no reason to ever go back. /shrug

Hotmail's interface might be better, but the name hotmail just isn't cool anymore. They need a new email domain. And, no, not live.com. That sucks too.

Yup. My email has the word ASS in it, so it's pretty damn unprofessional.

Amusingly, after I received a job, I called HR to follow up and ask a few questions. The HR person grilled the shit out of me for my email containing an expletive as a professional email. I laughed. I already had the job.

I still work here. For the record, I switched to a more mature email after.
