What I am as much interested in is does it strip wax/polish? I'd rather dry my car than have the trouble and expense of waxing a lot more often. If it is safe for wax, it will actually prolong the wax a great deal because drying the car always rubs some wax off.

BTW after posting it has been 2 months since I requested the coupon, it arrived that day

3 washes from the kit filter, replacement filters are good for 10 washes each, and are priced at $5.99 per filter.

I would be wary of the "10 washes" claim, as it states it varies depending on how hard your water is. I have heard of people getting 6 washes out of the replacement filter. I hope we see a generic brand soon, or something bigger that will give us more washes.

I just bought this last night with the Cupon, the targets out here had just dropped the price from 19.99 to 18.99 so I saved another buck

I bought this at Sams and I like it. It does work as advertised. According to the package it will not strip the wax.
Now if I could only get rid of the birds.

They had a new $5 Target coupon in a Target booklet that came in the paper either yesterday or today. Use it with the $5 Auto dry coupon and get it for under $10.

I used mine today for the first time, was warm outside (So. Cal) but it wasn't full blown sun yet, and I did wash it under a tree with lots of shade.

to whoever uses this, when you're using the mist dry thing, do you go over it once slow?

I went kinda medium speed, and noticed it looks VERY GOOD. There were a few areas with spots. But this was the first time using it, I was real impressed with how easy this thing is.

The Mr Clean soap, bird crap and dirt seemed to come off without as much scrubbing as the old ArmorAll soap I normally use. Don't have any proof, but aside from not having to dry, the "washing" was also less of a chore.

a side car wash note, I have tree sap, or something that leave these tiny rock hard brown/yellow'ish balls on my car. I cannot get them with my mit, what is good to knock these suckers out? I use my finger nail, but it's a pain in the a$$, I have them all over my car. Only visable when I'm eyeing it really close, but I don't like them

if you buy this at PEPBOYS you get it for $10.00 after $5 rebate and $5 coupon.

The PUR filter rinse I spary it like car painting spary it so the water is smooth on the surface.

As for tree sap ... i use a warm soapy water to soften it let it soak

Have you tried using those sap remover gels? I think it's harsh on the paint but it seems to work well on semi-wet sap. The harder to remove small rock-like pieces are going to be hard to remove. I usually put a little dollop on a certain area and let it sit for about a minute and then rub off. I've gotten some bigger spots off with them. It all depends on the type of sap. I'm in Pasadena and some of the trees sweat sap on hot days. The sweat ranges from a fine mist of sugary sap to large drops the size of a pencil eraser. The pencil eraser ones are the hardest to remove and that's where the gel comes in.

I hear that you can also remove sap and leftover stains with detailing clay as Shaka mentions below. Haven't tried the clay myself though.

For tree sap and bird crap that does not come off with soap, try using automotive clay bar. It has the consistency of moulding clay. The good brand is Clay Magic.
