I have a 120hz Samsung.. and let me say the novelty of that mode wore off in a couple of hours. It made movements flow too well and it just doesn't look like TV anymore.

Edit: and by flow to well I mean that people seemed to move quickly and awkwardly.

Remember though- if you do get a 120hz TV you'll be able to play 3D games on it with Nvidia's 3DVision.

price back up to 1449... these are good tvs. I had the 32 inch for my apt...i gave it to my parents...still going strong and looks great..

What do you guys think about this? Found Samsung LN52A550 for $100 more - $1299 with free shipping from Frys. They also have the 52" A630 model (120hz) for $1499 but no shipping available..

The major benefit is the 24P input capability. Makes the slow panning shots smooth like they are in the movies, instead of jerky like they are at 60 fps (since every other frame is shown for 1.5 times longer to make 24 FPS film fit into 60 fps broadcast)

I came to the same conclusion - I have a LN52A630, but for movies I turn off the AMP. But...for sports and TV I can't stand the judder without it. A friend has the Sammy without 120hz...not so great for sports.
