Received my $150 today. I know i can close my account now. Does anyone know if one can start over again and open a new account and get another $150 using this LINK. How long before one can reapply to qualify for this offer?

From JaiHand's link:

Offer Details

?This offer is not available at Citibank Financial Centers. To receive this offer, you must open and fund a Regular Checking account with the Citibank® EZ Checking pricing package with a minimum initial deposit of $2,500 by 12/31/03 and then pay 2 bills at www.citibankonline.com within 60 days of funding the account. $150 will be credited to your account within 60 days of the end of the statement period in which the second bill payment appears. Basic Checking is not eligible for this offer. All accounts are subject to approval. Taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the customer. One offer per customer. Offer is not available to existing Citibank banking customers. Offer is made to U.S. residents 18 years of age or older only. Offer may be modified or withdrawn at any time without notice. Offer is not transferable.

There's a slightly better code to use on the first page of this thread, that allows you to only deposit 1500.

I received my $150 finally. Keep in mind if you open with ONLY $1500 you will pay a fee when your account balance drops below $1500 after you pay the two bills so deposit enough to cover the bills And keep $1500 in the account.

I signed up for code: CGA on 5/12, I sent them an email regarding my $150 and got this reponse:

Thank you for your message regarding the promotional offer (CG4) with your Citibank Checking account. This offer indicates you must open and fund a regular checking account online with $1,500.00 by 03/31/2003, then pay 2 bills online within 60 days of funding, and receive $150.00 cash credit.

Our records indicate your account was opened and funded on 05/12/03. We have placed an investigation to determine whether you qualify for the credit offer. This research will take approximately 14 business days and at that time a letter with more details will be mailed to the address listed on your account:

*******************
*********************
If you have additional questions regarding this promotion, feel free to contact our Direct Bank Customer Service department at 1-800-745-1534 Monday - Friday 8am - 10pm ET, and Saturday 9am - 11pm ET and Sunday 9am - 5:30pm ET.

If you have further questions, please send another message or call us at 1-800-374-9700 and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for banking with Citibank,
Sharon B.

I haven't gone back through every post here, but I've followed it long enough to know that it's been mentioned several times: the $150 will show up 60 days after two auto bill pays

I called them last week, told them I made the 2 payments and I have yet to receive the $150, they said they would investigate and send me a notice, I received the notice today:

Dear Client:

Thank you for contacting us about your Checking account, We have completed the investigation and the results follow.

After reviewing our records, we confirmed that in order to qualify for promotion CGA, a checking account must have been opened and funded with a minimum opening deposit of $1500.00 by March 31,2003. In addition, make two bill payments on line within sixty days of funding the account.

Our records indicate that your account referenced above was opened on May 05, 2003, and funded with $1550.00 on May 12, 2003. Unfortunately, Promotion CGA had expired on March 31, 2003 and your account was not opened until May 05, 2003.

Therefore, based on the terms and conditions, your Checking account did not qualify for Promotion CGA.

IF CGA EXPIRED, WHY DID THE APPLICATION GO THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DID I NOT GET THAT MESSAGE AFTER I ENTERED THE CODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOPPING SITES GIVE YOU THAT MESSAGE WHEN YOU ENTER A EXPIRED COUPON CODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY CAN'T A BIG COMPANY'S WEB SITE GIVE YOU THAT MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!! IF I WANTED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH NO INCENTIVE I COULD HAVE JUST WALKED INTO ONE OF THEIR BRANCHES RATHER THEN HAVE GONE THROUGH THAT STUPID 3 WEEK PROCESS OF OPENING A CHECKING ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the promotion CGA has expired March 31. I was in the process of opening the account. In fact, Citibank actually opened my account without the final confirmation call. After reading the post above, I had to call to try cancelling the whole process; they said they'll try their best to stop the fund transfering process; if not, I have to call back to cancell the account without penalty.

I have the same complain: why did the application go through when the promotion code has expired!!

Fine print says that the current offer is fine:

To receive this offer, you must open and fund a Regular Checking account with the Citibank® EZ Checking pricing package with a minimum initial deposit of $2,500 by 12/31/03 and then pay 2 bills at www.citibankonline.com within 60 days of funding the account. $150 will be credited to your account within 60 days of the end of the statement period in which the second bill payment appears. ...

Signed up in August and was in the process of opening the account; found out about the expired offer, called in to cancel, and found out that they actually already opened the account without the final confirmation call, what a scam.

I told the representive over the phone that I want to cancel the whole process. Since the transaction for the wire deposit hasn't gone through yet, he promised that he would try "everything he can" to stop the transaction.

After a few days of daily checking of my bank account, hoping and making sure the transactioin was indeed stopped, I was happy that the wired transfer didn't happened, and was ready to forget about the whole thing - until today when I checked again - 8 whole days later, found out that they went ahead and did the transaction anyway.

Called in once again to close out the account, was told it will take a week to do so, plus 5 more days for the check to arrive by mail.

All I can say is, if you haven't try this deal, STOP. Read this thread and think through if it's worth the risk and hassle.

Did you get the bonus?
