Just to let you guys know, I stopped in Office Depot yesterday to take a look at these monitors. Sorry, I didn't post yesterday because I was in the car coming home for Thanksgiving break. Anyway, they had the Viewsonic LCD line-up along with a variety of other LCD's and CRT's next to each other, all playing the same video (Office Depot's "How to buy a monitor"). The Viewsonic LCD's seemed to have some visual tearing effects when there was motion - not ghosting, but tearing. I thought it was the crappy video, but I didn't notice it on the CRT monitors or on the KDS Rad-5. I actually stood there through almost two presentations of the videos, their employees must have thought I was some weirdo... but I wasn't impressed. Granted, when the screen was essentially still, I thought it looked superior to the CRT monitors on display. I guess it depends on what you're buying the monitor for... also realize that this was a cruddy OD instructional video, not a DVD. So it might be worth your while before you open the package up to take a look at it at your local OD, heh.
