Yeah, it says it's also sold by VTech, who makes cordless phones.

C'mon people, get real. Do you think Amex will PM it? I really hope you fraudulent asses either get stuck with a $900 monitor or get slapped with a 15% restocking fee.

you guys missed a rather glaring flaw

this LCD is analog. they suck ass compared to digital LCDs.
if it doesnt have a DVI connector consider it garbage.

its a nice price, but just a warning, performance is not going to be on par with the real deal.

I totally agree with SirDante! Come on now, who can be better than a victoria secret supermodel? (I personally like Eva Herzigova better though) Anyways, this is a reasonable price, let's hope Amex will PM it.

huzefa1,

If I decide to do the Amex route, how long does it take Amex to send the difference?

Thanks

I called AMEX the day I got the monitor, about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I just got the check yesterday.

see now they will spend 5 hours on the phone with whoever sold it to them demanding that they take back an opened lcd because <insert bs reason>. guaranteed after they try to defraud amex they will make another company eat the cost of their own stupidity. i can't believe some of you, this happens over and over on here.

man, some of you all are little wusses. if you don't want to do it, fine, don't say isht. let whatever happens to them happen. let the mods take care of it.and 0x7a69, didn't you see the post above, he already got it. so basically he or they won't be on the phone for 5 hours.

you don't like it, don't do it. plain and simple. quit trying to be Big Brother.

Just to let you guys know, I stopped in Office Depot yesterday to take a look at these monitors. Sorry, I didn't post yesterday because I was in the car coming home for Thanksgiving break. Anyway, they had the Viewsonic LCD line-up along with a variety of other LCD's and CRT's next to each other, all playing the same video (Office Depot's "How to buy a monitor"). The Viewsonic LCD's seemed to have some visual tearing effects when there was motion - not ghosting, but tearing. I thought it was the crappy video, but I didn't notice it on the CRT monitors or on the KDS Rad-5. I actually stood there through almost two presentations of the videos, their employees must have thought I was some weirdo... but I wasn't impressed. Granted, when the screen was essentially still, I thought it looked superior to the CRT monitors on display. I guess it depends on what you're buying the monitor for... also realize that this was a cruddy OD instructional video, not a DVD. So it might be worth your while before you open the package up to take a look at it at your local OD, heh.

you may be able to PM @ CompUSA, after all it doesn't say OOS, it says ships in 1-2 Days.
I tried to PM at staples.com, but they don't sell this item there.
