The ps3 is almost here and ebay will be swamped with them going for 2 grand.
I will never buy one of those for the price and the fact their games are more $$ than the xbox

Plus throw in a game and other things you have to have and I bet you spend 800 to 1000 bucks before you leave the store

Gears of war will be the top seller right at the same time the ps3 is launched so I really see the ps3 as a flop right now. Is it even for sure blue ray is betamax or the VHS of DVD....who knows right now.

Mine was not even in the System even though I had a complete checkout at the site with a 'invoice will be on the way shortly' or something like that. Total, print htis for records YET it was not even in the order 'database'!

Better call the toll free as they had me buying stuff I never heard of. I didn't even browse the site except for that one item!

There's nothing like being personally insulted by someone I've never met, I love the internet. For the record I'm a student at MIT and my Financial Aid comes up about $4,000 a year short of what I need to live in Cambridge so I can either take out a loan, not eat or buy stuff like this and sell it on ebay. I would love to keep this and use it but I can't spare the money.


Over the phone I was told that none of the orders will be honored and that the orders will be listed as cancelled in a few days and no credit cards will be charged.

then take out some loans like everyone else? I took out a big enough loan to cover my tuition and still have $3000 extra to "live off", and I have a part-time job (20 hours a week that covers my rent and food).

Thanks but I prefer to just earn the money with little projects and the occasional ebay auction in my spare time. I would rather live a little shabbier and not owe the money. At least for me, there is a certain piece of mind that comes with being debt free. I'll live the high life when I have a masters in Nuclear Physics, plus you would be amazed at just how much money you can make if you get creative (mostly with bank promotions) and play the market (I refer to actual goods like PC parts as opposed to the stock market).

If you know what you're doing you can get some pretty impressive results out of free stuff. For instance, at the moment my CPU is at -3C thanks to a window unit that kept freezing up and was thus thrown away. My computer is now in a box with the window unit cooling said box. There isn't enough water vapor to make ice so the window unit just cools the box and PC to around -20C. I'm using the stock heat sink fan and getting sub zero temps! The most expensive thing (and the only thing I paid for) is the tape securing the box to the window unit. During winter break I'm going to machine my own evaporator and use a better freon at which point I will have a direct-die cooling system that should hit -50C for under $50.

good thing you don't pay the power bill, or that free cooler would cost you around 80 bucks a month.

Assumption is that you are MIT to become and enginner. I've been around engineers my entire life. I've always thought they were a little "off." Yea, so true.

I just checked mine and it has changed from "Order New" to "In Process". It's also showing up as an itemized list now, rather than just the bundle.
