Check travelocity and you can get a 7 day cruise for $289 per person. I did a cruise with my girlfriend on carnival last year for a similar price and loved it.

Interesting post. I dont' know about "lava", but it's not a bad price. Cruise lines seem have gotten very agressive on pricing since 9/11. It's about a hundred bucks cheaper online, like at expedia.com. Cruises are a great wat to vacation.

I think this may be illegal on this site. Often, if people get more than x number of people to sign up for a cruise the organizer gets it for free.

IMO this is a scam.

I don't get it I have looked and looked for a great cruise deal and for the ship and destination and especially that time of year I have yet to find a similar deal within $300 dollars above this one. And orbitz is great but they didn't have this cruise and especially on any nice boats. I think i will still be goin.

its a good price for booking THIS far in advance. I bet if you wait until the date is closer and there is still room, the price will drop!

... and STINK season all year round.

The only "decent" place in the list is Ixtapa (a whopping 7 hour stay)

True that it is not that hot.

Travel agents are better, and I'll tell you why.

They will buy a big 'ole section of the boat at a big ole' discount. So, even though they sell them at a profit, it is still a lot cheaper. Just call a travel agent and have a wide range of available dates in mind, and they will hook you up.

Make sure you buy travel insurance with medical involved. It is not that expensive. You can be refunded if you can't go for some reasons. And if you are injured or come down with something serious and need to be air-lifted somewhere, well, let's just say that it wouldn't be cheap and your med. insurance probably won't cover you in mexico.

I agree this post is not lava hot, but brings up a good point. There are many cruise clearance places that will be happy to send you monthly listings of "last minute" cruises with most lines, meaning you are able to free up yourself to travel in less than 60 or so days to fill an emtpy cabin. 60+ days is not "last minute" to me, but maybe to others... Most of the prices are at least (at least) 50% full fare.

I would not support Vicente fox and his people. In particular what they have in mind with the open borders proposition.
As a tourist years ago, I was harrased by federales trying to get money from me and friends, for no reason at all. On a separate trip we had a bunch of stuff stolen from one of our vehicles. I havent gone back since.

They need to control their population, and stop comming over the border illegaly, and having kids here so they can exploit the system.

In this country we already have minorities groups, that create enough problems as it is.
Oh, by the way, Im a member of a minority my self.

What can I say; live and learn.

The Mexican states farther from the border are better. Quintana Roo is a very nice place to visit (Cozumel, Cancun). I never felt harrased or had anything stolen. Of course by now the natives think I live there with as many trips I take to Cozumel in a year.

Hotter then bathing in Lava. 8 day mexican riviera cruise $559

Seared flesh does not make this a hot deal nor does it even sound like a particularly good thing.

i thought this was a forum for deals, i didnt realize that this was a forum for political views. carmat4 seems to be unaware of this. but i may be wrong and if so, let me make a comment about his posting. his ignorant statements about american and mexican relations is disgraceful. he obviously doesnt understand america and their historic mistreatment of their people as well as other minorities. overpopulation is a world problem not just a mexican problem, nor is crime. although you have stated that you are minority you seem not to realize the problems that face minorities or else you would not make such statements. nonminority groups take advantage of our system on a larger scale, blatantly and under the guise of business, than do smaller minority groups. unfortunately we live in a world where class distinctions exist as do problems with socio-economic status. many of our problems can be linked to these categories and necessarily have nothing to do with minority distinctions.

I agree with you, especially the part about Fox. The country is corupt. I won't go back to Mexico after dealing with their "police officers." The problem is their government, not the people. It's that 1% of people who have everything and control everything that keep Mexico a third world country. If I were a Mexican, I would try crossing the boarder, easier than overthrowing your government. Which is what they really need to do.

My sister JUST came back from a 7 day cruise and they wanted $200.00 per person for the Insurance. The travel agent told them not to get it because it was a rip off!

I paid these rates for the same exact same cruise..PRE 9/11. The rates have gone down drastically for cruises since then. This is not a hot deal.
