Nice find. I was going to order it until I saw these reviews. They seem pretty bad, since only a few people claimed it was running perfectly. The rest say it either broke or has geometry issues. I guess I'll pass on this.

It only supports 76Hz @ 1600x1200. The FP series are their top of the line. Also, I had bad luck with a NEC monitor about a year ago. I bought a top of the line monitor from Buy.com, and it had some bad pixels, and interference problems. I exchanged it TWICE, for the same model, and each one had same problems. NEC used to have good quality but not anymore. But $150 is a good price.

Shadowmask supposedly has clearer text. AG has better colors (which is why EVERY graphics CRT is AG) and is a superior technology which means a longer lasting tube.

Shadow should have better text(I'm using an AG right now and text is pretty blurry...but not unusable even at 1280x1024 and no matter how you slice it, a good AG monitor still smokes a cheapo flat ShadowMask EVEN IN TEXT like that horrible Envision monitor I got once-I'm using a Samsung 900NF) but when I'm using photoshop I definitely appreciate the insane resolutions higher end monitors usually support at GOOD refresh rates. 1600x1200@85Hz is useful when you're trying to work with some huge graphic(although to be fair this was really just a stupid hobby) and trying to edit in detail(a good mouse too actually) and the better color accuracy is good for tuning it out and I think these higher end monitors also usually come with color tuning software for you to match it to real life or whatever.

nahh look at viewsonic's graphics line.. all shadowmask... AG has more vibrant colors, while shadowmasks have truer and more accurate colors...

Yes. You dont have to make this hard by searching other sites for some pirated coupon. Staples is giving you one right in the ad. I want to hear from somebody else who finds one in stock. I had a nice surprise in my checkout screen.
