Oops! District Court accidentally let's the cat out of the bag, FINALLY!
Perry should be an unindicted coconspirator at the minimum.

Finally! Court has now ruled that those phone records be turned over.

Lol he just filed SCOTUS delay taking this presidential immunity case. Appeal court must take it up first. Desperate to delay as much as possible? NAH!!!

Doh SCOTUS rejected the immunity case. Has to go through appeals first. Sure we may hate it, but they are following the rules.

I was wondering why MSNBC said we have breaking news about the SCOTUS and Trump, but it was not clear what was in the notes in front of the talking head (big blond lady), so "we'll take a break and straighten this out". Waiting.... I guess that's probably what will they will come back. Realtime.

Smith got the appeals court off the dime anyway, so it may not be that delayed.
Mfr's still going to hang it up. Maybe they're just afraid of having their lives threatened.

They absolutely have the ability to hear the case ahead of the lower court. I think they're being chicken.
They’re doing the same thing here they did while Trump was president. Cases favorable to him were decided immediately and cases unfavorable to him got the slow walk treatment.

Funny how a case seeing if he could ban Muslims from entering the US is decided at lightning speed while a case about if he tried to overthrow the government is no biggie.

I’m pretty sure the case of gore v bush was fast tracked was it not? I’m also pretty sure US v Nixon was also fast tracked. So just more bs from this Supreme Court.
Yes to both. And in this case the District Ct of Appeals is moving the appeal along very rapidly-oral arguments are scheduled for early January (Jan 5th as I remember) and my prediction is that that court will issue a decision rejecting Trump's claim within a week or so afterwards. Frankly Trump's argument (that the President has absolute immunity) is extremely weak and contrary to every decision to date on point. Then the Supreme Court can take up the matter when the losing party appeals. At that case I'm reasonably sure they would do it expedited-delay for Trump's sake would be just too obvious to most voters.

But remember that presidential immunity is purely a creature of judicial decisions-nothing in the constitution alludes to it Given the propensity of the current majority on the Supreme Court it is highly possible that they may create such an absolute immunity in order to protect Trump. I have no respect for those clowns but I doubt that will happen. I don't think Roberts (and maybe Kavanaugh) would stand for that but I have little faith in the present court.

It’s my understanding that even if the appeals court does rule quickly, then Trump’s lawyers will first ask the full appeals court to rehear the case, and then after that, Trump will have 90 days to lodge a final appeal to the supreme court. And THEN, it's very possible the Supreme Court can sit on it for quite a while. It's not out of the realm of possibility Trump has successfully delayed this case until after the election, which was his plan all along. The Supreme Court may have just gave him exactly what he wanted. we'll see....

The appeals court has lots of ways to prevent this from happening and they will use them. Could see the trial as early as April.

That being said if SCOTUS really wants to delay it they can force the issue. Not sure if they want to do that though as they haven’t been inclined to help Trump much so far and their credibility is already in tatters.

it gets worse:
i guess cheesebro feels sad that he is being thrown under the bus, so he is providing new details (or rather, we are finding out about them). the collaboration to overturn the election is wide-reaching.

The fake elector certificates from two critical battleground states were stuck in the mail.

So, Trump campaign operatives scrambled to fly copies of the phony certificates from Michigan and Wisconsin to the nation’s capital, relying on a haphazard chain of couriers, as well as help from two Republicans in Congress, to try to get the documents to then-Vice President Mike Pence while he presided over the Electoral College certification.

edit to add another quote:
From there, Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and a Pennsylvania congressman assisted in the effort to get the documents into Pence’s hands.

“This is a high-level decision to get the Michigan and Wisconsin votes there,” Chesebro told Michigan prosecutors. “And they had to enlist, you know, a US senator to try to expedite it, to get it to Pence in time.”

This is SO MUCH the former President. He has a big goal and does little planning and doesn’t accept feedback about his planning.
Go quick cheap and shitty you get quick, cheap, shitty results.

Also putting that Shit Head as Postmaster General turned out real well for us. The lack of processing machines likely delayed their arrival.

That's the irony of this whole shitty affair. They knew that the purposely screwed up USPS was now unreliable due to a certain Trump appointee so they had to work around that problem.
