Need some hackers to disrupt the airwaves tonight and have the live hearings appear on every cable channel.

strange how they had plenty of time for the Benghazi hearings.
And the possible Hunter Biden investigations should they take back the House.
They’re also not going to subject their ‘cash cow’ prime time wingnuts to the truth, instead of their usual lies and half-truths.

Why won't Fox air the testimony? According to them, 1/6 was perpetrated by BLM and Antifa

Can a complaint be levied to the FCC for failing the public trust?

Refusing to cover hearings when they covered. Benghazi live.

I just filed a complaint online to the FCC against Fox News. I urge others to do the same

I’ve done it before and they do get back to you

I’m calling my Senator and Congressman tomorrow to get in the ass of the FCC

FCC needs to develop licensing categories for all broadcast networks

Entertainment
Sports
News
Documentary/Science

Any other categories deemed appropriate

Create rules for each category. The category must be displayed in the opening credits for every show. For the news channels one of the rules public service events must be covered live. Another rule for news channels no lies or conspiracy theories. Fines and possible loss of license for violations. Shows like Tucker, Hannity and Ingraham. would have to move to the entertainment part of Fox. Also Fox News would have to change their name for their entertainment wing.

The problem is that the FCC doesn’t have much of any authority over cable networks as they are carried on privately owned and maintained communication networks. How can the government decide what people want to say on their own property?

They do have say. Even though it's cable cursing is generally censored and nudity is not allowed.

The cable news channels out of anger have been violating the no cursing rule

Cursing and nudity are generally not broadcast because cable companies voluntarily comply, not because the FCC has authority. Just look at HBO and such, cursing, violence, and nudity everywhere.

Interesting thread and replies regarding the utter futility and incompetence of this committee to hold any big fish truly accountable for J6. As one individual put it, our government still provides secret service to the guy who was probably at the center of it all.

I think people are finally starting to see the writing on the wall. This country is done. I'm sure the hearings will make for some entertaining TV but ultimately the Democrats aren't going to save us, voting isn't going to save us.

Are there any good autobiographies of people who lived thru the fall of a democracy and survived? Be curious what sort of things we can learn from them.

More doom and gloom I see. C’mon now, not punishing the South for the Civil War worked out so well for us…right??

That's exactly my point, thanks for agreeing with me.

And the guy who will get away with it will likely be president again soon, that's the real kick to the nuts about all of this. And this time he'll be installing his people in ALL key positions.

"Sir, they've adapted."

Trump is not very likely to be president again. First, he's likely facing multiple indictments. Second, even if he doesn't get indicted and decides to run I don't think he's even the favorite for the nomination.

Bro, you and I both know he will NEVER be indicted or imprisoned.

Now if you want to make the argument that DeSantis or someone else takes over, fine. But it won't be because of legal troubles.

I think that's wishful thinking to be honest. As much as I'd enjoy it, and is in all probability legally justified.

And I'm not as sure as you are that he won't be the nominee ...

edit: At the current time, I'd probably say he's the odds on favorite to be 47.

Of course I believe he will be indicted, that's why I said it. I would personally put the odds at over 75%.

I think DeSantis is probably the favorite for the Republican nomination even if Trump runs as he's been steadily overtaking Trump since last year. Last poll I saw had them in a dead heat with DeSantis continuing to gain and Trump fading. If Trump gets indicted DeSantis is definitely the prohibitive favorite.
