Blame the media. Right wing media, certainly, for downplaying the entire ordeal, but also center/lefty media for putting too much emphasis on the rampage at the Capitol and not everything else that happened in the lead up to J6. Average Americans know something went down at the Capitol on J6, but the average American knows next to nothing about the Eastman doctrine, PowerPoint slides on how to steal an election, efforts to conspire with state legislatures to send alternate electors, what Trump’s DOJ was doing that was so bad Barr had to step down cuz he thought he’d go to jail, the Willard Hotel meeting, exactly how much danger Pence was in, etc. etc. etc.
