Pubbies always stick together no matter what. Dem's, not soo much.
Want to see this in all it's ugly truth? Daily Wire on FB posted an article about Republicans voting no on the Jan 6. It is sad, funny yet frightening all at the same time.

While in favor of the above that happens in case of the following....

Invite politicians involved in Jan 6 to testify..

They refuse.

You subpoena them

They still refuse

What next? Do you arrest them? Jail them? I can see McCarty doing this just to turn the hearings into a circus. They will stall it out eating up time so the report deadline is in jeopardy.

If anyone wants to go to jail for protecting an insurrection or the traitor who directed it, let them. I don't think there would be a shortage of testimony or evidence. Remember, with a few exceptions, we're dealing with cowards. According to Liz Cheney and others, some Rs in Congress face periodic threats of violence from their constituencies, towards their families as well. I think in this case subpoenas could be as much relief for some repugs as it would be torture for others. Many of them hate Trump in private apparently, not sure I see enough solidarity there for the transgressors to commit contempt of court en masse. Trump and his handlers are big fans of blackmail and extortion, I'd be surprised if that wasn't being resorted to with at least a handful of Congressional Rs. A few nuts will try to go down with the ship and proclaim themselves obedient martyrs. But the whole group, going to jail for Moscow Mitch, the guy who already owes them personal favors for this latest cover up for treason?

I do hope Lady G and that Texan colostomy bag Ted Cruz give it the ol college try. McCarthy especially. The people who attacked the capitol are being made to answer for their involvement, this has to be applied to repug leadership in whatever form it can take.

Only if in the interest of not adding to the debt (because the insurrectionists are very concerned about the debt when a democrat is president ) we don’t spend a dime to fix up the facilities. They need to use those bootstraps.

They lacked the power to do so when Trump was President & have even less today & going forward.
Only if they get their voting laws rescinded.

If they get to choose who votes, 2020 turns out very, very differently.

Biden won by millions of votes, but even his 5% win was threadbare. 40,000 votes distributed more strategically sends trump to another term.

On the back of ridiculous unemployment and half a million dead Americans due to incompetence. To say nothing of the corruption. Never say never.

Fox News Sunday didn't even discuss Republicans filibustering the Jan 6 commission. That's one way to rewrite history. Keep your audience ignorant.

I wanna know when this democracy falls. Anyone? Next year? Two years from now?

Democracy does not fall all at once. Democracy dies a slow coughing death. Our Democracy has been sick for a little while now. On Jan 6 we coughed up a little blood. It is a ominous sign, and Republican's decided to ignore it instead of checking out what is wrong. So, the disease grows. Before Democracy dies there will be more coughing and each time it will be a little worse.

Here's the list of 11 who stuck their heads in the sand and pretended like they had "Very Important Business elsewhere". For the record, those Senators are:

Blackburn (R-TN)
Blunt (R-MO)
Braun (R-IN)
Burr (R-NC)
Inhofe (R-OK)
Murray (D-WA)
Risch (R-ID)
Rounds (R-SD)
Shelby (R-AL)
Sinema (D-AZ)
Toomey (R-PA)

As for Murray... She’s generally a respected legislator, from all I’ve heard. A Local paper said she had unspecified family emergency. I don’t know what happened, but she had zero reason to fear voting for this bill. According to this tweet, She would’ve gladly voted for the bill.

Wtf can't senators vote by proxy or other means? There's virtually no excuse for people to not cast a vote.
We have the technology

Because some archaic tradition demands they must be present (in all cases? Most cases?) in order to be eligible to cast their vote. Just imagine the phoney outrage by the right if there was a concerted effort to modify this by the D's..

Harrumph, more like they've got a life insurance policy out on it, and they're trying to not seem too over-eager to see it taking a turn for the worse so they can get their payout sooner.

Like how stupid are they? McCarthy is meeting with the orange monkey today. Pelosi is going rip out a new one and veto every partisan person he picks only after conveniently meeting with the subject of said investigation
