It's not an "impeachment", it's just tap dancing. The Courts won't agree unless it's a formally taken vote. End of story.

lol. you uneducated fucks are so god damn ignorant of everything

you literally have no idea what happened today, because you refuse to inform yourself anywhere outside of the TV screaming at you. That must be all you see. your statement here, do you have any fucking clue what happened today? You're just making shit up and arguing against it, immediately! That's all you soapheads ever fucking do around here. you start in some topic, completely misconstrue the opening moves, argue against it anyway, so you just pull that onto the next fact, the next, fact...every following piece of the story. You just invent a fucking fantasy about every single point, because you probably just don't know dick about civics because you were given a shit-tier bible teaching as a young, proud, racist of decent southern stock, so it's all you have to go with. you argue against every invented part of each issue, because you just can't follow what is happening, but mostly just refuse to, because by the end of it, you will only ever have convinced yourself that as everyone was against you all the time, in all your brilliant arguments, it only means that you were so very right! to just keep people angry! that's when you know they are paying attention.

fucking scum. you don't deserve any kind of pity or sympathy after history has utterly decimated your entire legacy--that supreme shit that is your very specific population of your fucking selfish, entitled, lazy-dick generation.

Did Trump indicate when he would release a transcript of the conversation that kicked this off? Since that's going to be the central piece of evidence, I'd like to read it.

So you have no frame of reference here, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

Meanwhile over at Fox News, Giuliani was spinning impeachment news as "a gift for Donald Trump".
Supposedly, meaning that the tables will turn and the corruption will then focus on Joe Biden instead, and not Donald Trump.
And crazy Rudy appeared to be very unhinged as Rudy ranted and raved over how awful it is that everyone picks on poor president Donald Trump. I actually thought I seen tears billowing up in Giuliani's eyes.
The only thing missing was the violin music playing in the background.
I felt like I was watching one of those 2-am info commercials raising money for poor kids overseas.
The face of poor Donald Trump, with a background of filth, despair and misery.
Giuliani almost convinced me to send in 5 bucks for the cause. The cause of defending poor little fat orange Donald Trump.
So unfairly treated. So disliked. Such a handicap for anyone to burden.
Add together Fox News, Rudy Giuliani, and impeachment and what do you get?
Total insanity of biblical proportions. You can't make this stuff up. It's a train wreck in slow motion.
Come-on folks, you can surely afford to kick in 5 bucks. Lets put a smile back on that face of Donald Trump. Ok?.
Wouldn't that be worth 5 bucks?

Looks like Joe Biden is going to be collateral damage in the Progressheviks' attempt at grabbing power. Pelosi knows she doesn't have the votes for impeachment so they are announcing a pre-impeachment. The "whistle blower" is going to be another in a long line of nothing burgers and Trump is releasing the phone call transcripts. How many times can the moron Democrats have an epic fail before they stop? My guess is never because that "impeachment monster" won't stop until it consumes itself and any Democrat dumb enough to hang around. Who knew the news could be so entertaining? Watching the Democrats self destruct over Trump is like one of those slow motion fail videos set to loop.

As pathetic as it is, it's actually an upgrade for Giuliani, whose last job was to lobby to support sale and reimbursement of prescription opiods from being impacted by the fact that they were killing thousands of Americans.
But he should keep talking.

trump will be neither impeached or removed from office over this. The dems "jumped the shark"... again. And it will come back to hurt them. I predict this story will go away a lot quicker than the russia conspiracy story.

The republicans jumped the shark when they nominated an immoral, lying, narcissistic, racist, conman POS.

I support starting impeachment proceedings. However, before they get to any voting stage, we need the whistleblower testimony and his report. The real juice is not going to be in that phone call or Trump wouldn't release it (though he could falsify it). I think we're going to find that Trump linked funding to investigating Biden through some back channel. The most obvious would by Rudy, but who knows. No matter what, that phone call will not resolve the issue.

Impeachment is still the correct procedure to take.
No one should worry about backlash or any of that. Many may decide to drop Trump in 2020 because of impeachment but add to that everything else the middle class has put up with from this president. Republicans who voted for Trump are still pissed over that Trump tax cut, how Trump promised them a cut but then jacked up their year end tax bill beyond belief. And least we forget those republican farmers, they too are quite irritated over how much those Trump tariffs are costing them personally.
SO I wouldn't worry about any impeachment backlash.
People may decide not to vote for Trump because of taxes and tariffs, but people will not chose to actually vote "for Trump" simply because democrats decided to impeach.
Did I say that right?

The Impeachment of Donald Trump from democrats in the house will not gain Donald Trump one single vote.
I still say, with that Trump tax debacle and Trump tariff debacle, impeachment will only add to those who will not support Donald Trump come 2020. People do not like a tainted president. People will not vote for a senator or state governor that has been corrupt and served time, and people will not support a president under impeachment.
However, Bill Clinton was different.
That was about sex, and people believe sex is a private personal matter, not a political matter.
At least with the case of the Clinton's.
Going after the Clinton's for sex was dirty politics, and voters figured that out.
This time with Donald Trump it is different. Trump is on the wrong side of dirty this time. Trump actually blackmailed a foreign country to dig up dirt on a rival. Yes, Donald Trump actually did that. There is no need to wait for the transcript, we have all we need to prove guilt.
This idea that impeachment will help Donald Trump win re-election or add to his base is nonsense. It will hurt him. It would hurt most presidents. And it's about time democrats in the house took action and forgot about any backlash B-S.

Looks like Bolton is throwing Giuliani under the bus, or else Trump is already looking for the fall guy.

That WaPo piece is a really good, thorough explanation of the narrative that has emerged based on the so far known facts. The notion that Rudy Giuliani was essentially making and implementing our US/Ukraine policy for several months is frightening. As is the fact that the White House could cut aid for Ukraine and leave the State Department and all other agencies outside the White House totally in the dark about why they had done it. I guaranty you that if there was no explicit quid pro quo in Trump's conversation, there was one way or another through Giuliani.

What's crucial here is how much of this can be proven with admissible evidence at a Congressional hearing.

There’s a difference between “impeached” and “removed from office”. There is a 0% chance the Senate carries out impeachment and removes Trump, so thank you Capt. Obvious.

I would have said 3 days ago there was a good chance an impeachment vote in the House might still fail, hence Pelosi’s reluctance to even entertain that idea. Dems launching an inquiry and failing to impeach themselves would be the greatest gift to Trump’s campaign. While there is still a probability of that happening, it looks much less likely now.

But Dems are known to be fickle creatures when it comes to the political calculus for impeachment. If Trumpsters can organize enough anti-impeachment sentiment in their districts, there may be some waffling before the actual vote.

I don't think it's a 0% chance he's removed from office. Oh, it's not high, but it's not 0% either.

Two things have a shot at happening.

1. Trump resigns so Pence can pardon him from his vast array of crimes so he can keep his criminal enterprise and ass out of prison. This may have a surprisingly good chance of happening....

2. Senate Rs freak out about losing seats and decide to go Ceasar on Trump to save themselves. Watch for tanking poll numbers. Will precipitate #1.

Very little chance he's actually removed from office, then put on trial and sent to prison. Shame really.

I don't like this. It's just going to enflame his base. Dems should just lay low until the elections. We could see Trump elected 2020.

Prevent defense prevents you from winning.

His plan was to rig the election and run a replay of the butter males/WikiLeaks bullshit.

Now is not the time for cowering.

I put these two together even though they weren't responses to each other, because this makes me think of a weird type of Trump gambit:

Trump: fuck it. I'll just cut whatever I want out of the transcript. the guy, over there, that leaker guy, he will testify everything. then he will have to testify that the president is a liar. haha! i never lie! i'm always the unliengist honest not-liars ever and he will have to prove it and say i'm lying because i will only say he's lying!

....and that's basically the situation he can put this person in....and in the cancer that he has created for the modern world, this. actually. works. for. Trump.

His polls won't show any movement. same people: sitting and shitting in the mud and eating their own shitmud. day-in, day-out. hasn't changed a single one of those minds in nearly 5 years of Trump's constant, daily, ass-shit-mouth-eating....existence in the world.

I can guarantee what would have happened if they DIDN'T launch the impeachment inquiry..

... Trump/Barr would have released a minimal, hacked up, redacted amount of info, designed just enough to provide cover for Rs to defend, confuse the narrative in the media and forced the Ds, once again, to waste their time going to court, meanwhile Trump gaslights the public on the story

We would have NEVER got the Senate resolution out on unanimous consent.

About time Ds quit dicking around and actually start playing hardball.
