Rep Boobers was just on MSNBC with Steph Ruhle to discuss her position. o_0
Guess the invites from Fox news have dried up.
Glad she went on tho. She said she would not support ANYONE from the current leadership including Scalice (sp?) and they are willing to ride this out for a long time.
Still couldn't articulate a realistic exit strategy, but was content to just watch it burn.
This wont be over anytime soon unless GOP gets help from Ds.
So what, one of their 20 holdouts or 54ish freedumb caucus members should be in charge of the 222 member Republican caucus?
McCarthy is already hard right. He is the compromise candidate already. The idea that the most extreme members should be allowed to dictate things for the whole party is laughable and should be broken right now. I’d like to see a letter from 150+ of the remainder saying they’ll vote for McCarthy for the next two years.
Frankly the party should renounce all 20 holdouts. Fix your shit for the next vote or the only thing we’ll be discussing is what internal sanctions will be levied against you. You want committee chairs? Get fucked. You’ll be irrelevant for the next two years.
Of course, they’re mostly cowards and don’t want to risk losing the stupid party of the base for even one cycle. Until they learn that cancer needs to be excised and not fed they get what they deserve.
