why are you still on the 3G unlimited? Get any LTE device they Verizon will switch you to 4G unlimited (free SIM card).
It's work. iPhone 4's were free. Now iPhone 4S's are free. Next year maybe iPhone 5C's will be free.

You'll need to be jailbroken (Android phones have to be rooted to use the tethering function, for Verizon atleast, I'm on Verizon).

Tethered iOS7 jailbreak should be out within a month, there are plenty of apps on Cydia that work for tethering but I don't have personal experience as I've never owned an iPhone. I'm planning to make the jump as well (with my unlimited data)
Yea I'm trying to decide between two options actually.
1. Verizon - Phone line, data, text, insurance comes out to $55 a month plus $200 upfront for the phone. Downside, 2 year contract and Android offerings kind of lacking at the moment until maybe the Nexus comes out, which I doubt Verizon will get anyways.
2. T-Mobile - Phone line, data, text, insurance and monthly payment for phone is $90. Upside, no contract and I am able to upgrade my phone every 6 months. Plus the ability to swap out phones easily with GSM.
Ugh decisions.
Are you comparing similar plans here? What is this $50 Verizon plan?
I'm on a family plan where I just pay for the extra line charge. 1400 minutes but I dont use anywhere near that much.
T-Mobile is unlimited everything, talk/text/data.
But if you're getting a subsidized phone, that means no unlimited data on Verizon, hence my question.
