Mainly for gaming and music. Worth it? They're roughly $75 btw, thanks.

After doing some more research, I discovered a lot of people thought they were crap. In fact, ALL surround sound phones are crap, according to many.
So, now I'm debating whether I should get the Sennheiser HD515s, or spend more and get the Sennheiser HD555s. Anyone?

Thanks. Decided to get the HD555s at £60 delivered... I hope I made the right choice! Can't afford an X-Fi however, I hope they'll be good with my Audigy 2 Value.

Is there a headset version of those 555s?

Sony V6, grado SR-60, AKG-K240 are all very good headphones that are reasonably-priced. i'm using the sennheiser HD-497 which is a steal at $40 but they are discontinued.

Sony MDR-7506 headphones are excellent, and somewhat a standard item in the recording industry--they are a favorite in recording studios, and I keep seeing them pop up on movie directors' heads during behind-the-scenes footage on my DVD's. They cost around $100 and are very crisp and accurate. I would get them from www.sweetwater.com
But if you have a puppy in the house, keep them elevated, or they'll be chewed to pieces like mine were /
