How are wisdom teeth extracted?

I was awake with just a local when they pulled mine. Big ass pair of funny-looking pliers is what they used.

Oh man, eating is definitely restricted. I thought I was good to go but everytime something gets stuck up there or when I rinse, the blood starts again. The teeth near the empty sockets also hurt for some reason. Plus the fear of some food particles getting stuck in the socket and rotting away is always haunting you. DRY SOCKETS!!!!

the problem with wisdom teeth is that they mess up the jaw line. this can cause pain. this can cause teeth to be mushed together. if you never needed braces, wisdom teeth can cause you to require them. if you need braces, some have reported that wisdom teeth aligned their bite.

GO TO AN ORAL SURGEON!!! My dentist was having a hard time pulling mine off so...he cut mine into 4 pieces and removed each peice one by one. It took 2+ hrs and there was a lot of blood. My mouth was swollen and sore for 1 week. My friend who went to an orgal surgeon recoverd in 3 days and was put under during the procedure.

That's a bit of a logical fallacy.

There are literally dozens of variables that can affect the surgical outcome that you have not considered. An oral surgeon doesn't extract teeth any differently than a dentist. I've worked extensively with both.
