So I finally got g** d*** sick and tired of not being able to play my XBOX (not 360) on my brand new 50" HDTV because my girlfriend HAS to watch the %$&%*# Reba %*&$*$ McIntyre show. *(%^&(*%&.

So, I plugged my XBOX straight into the composite input on my 2007WFP. Never using my computer screen for consoles, I didnt know if that would work, but it did.

My problem is how do I get sound now?

I use headphones for all gaming I do. Senn HD555's via X-Fi so I can input the optical off my 360. I used my PC speakers before that.

my problem is that I have the video composite cable plugged into my LCD, but the red and the white connectors arent plugged into anything because the cables cant reach my audigy card. They can only reach about 6 inches from my LCD. Does that make sense?

I'm kinda at a loss. Dunno what to do!

Maybe the pic isn't clear enough, but the cable has two female connectors. So you can connect the red and white male connectors to the cable and reroute it to your speakers. Kinda crude way but it works

Sorry for the quality, using cellphone cam

Why do you want to run the sound into your Audigy...? Just hook the PC speakers up the XBox... You might have to swap the speakers between the PC and the XBox manually for sound...

The inputs for my speaker system (logitech something or other) are on the sub sitting on the floor to the left of my desk. The Xbox is plugged into the 2007WFP and the mono and stereo composite connectors wont even reach 1/32 of the way. I'm basically looking for some kind of "extenstion cord".

LOL...

I think it's funny that you can ask such a simple question and nobody will give you an answer...

Anyway, I have the same issue that you are having...no sound on my 360 (even though you are using an original xbox) when I use it w/ my 2407WFP. What you will need to get is a composite sound cable extender. It has the red and white females on one end and the red and white males on the other. This, of course, is provided you have a receiver on the other end that will accept red/white audio. So if your audigy has red/white (composite sound) in then your sound will come over your PC speakers. On the other hand, if your sound card has only line in, then your cable will be what the previous poster showed you. However, it is most likely that there will not be one long enough to suit your needs so as you have already stated, you will need a 2nd extention but the second cable will be a line-in extender cable. This goes into the line-in jack on your sound card and in your audigy driver you will have to disable mic and enable line-in while you are using your XBox. Does that make sense?

The other alternative you have is that you could just go to Dell and buy the speaker attatchment that they sell with your monitor. It's pricey but it could be worth it cause it fits on the monitor like it's supposed to and there is a built in jack on the screen for this (I think, I have both the 2007WFP andthe 2407WFP and I know that atleast one of them have speaker upgrades but I thought both did). Also, you could look for an additional set of 3rd party speakers that accept Red/White composite or a set that accepts line-in and then also get the coverter cable the earlier poster showed you.

Good Luck,

I connect it directly to my headphones. So if you need to connect the cable to your soundcard, you need this cable.

6 feet long, should be long enough.

Yes, you don't need a computer, just comp speakers that are self-powered. Instead of hooking up your sound from a comp to speakers, you hook up a wire (like the one described above) from xbox to speakers. Turn on the power on speakers and you are set.
