I had my eye on purchasing the Lian-Li V1000B (Black) enclosure but naturally I'd expect a couple of awkward design problems relating to my motherboard and power supply. I wanna have a new rig thats very capable of overclocking my new Athlon64 3000+ 90nm and my new eVGA 6800 LE. So I need this case to be capable of fitting a very powerful (hence, very big) PSU.
AT notes in their review that they cannot fit big PSU's into the V1000, and I definitely had my eye on OCZ's PowerStream 520 and their dimensions (without mentioning the humongous wads of cables) are 175mm x 150mm x 86mm.
Does anybody have first hand knowledge of the size limits of the Lian-Li V1000 for its PSU area?
If push came to shove, I might have to choose another case, but as you can tell, I had planned on budgeting a very high-class case with good performance to boot. I'd rather choose the OCZ PSU over the Lian-Li case because I want that amazing power.
Another question for those who have first-hand knowledge of this case, its just as important. Plenty of comments regarding the front audio/firewire connections not being able to reach the connections on the motherboard. I have a MSI K8N Neo2 mobo that was going to be in there and their audio/firewire connection would be (when installed "upside down" in this case) along the top, corner edge of the motherboard. Has anybody had this problem, if so was there any viable solution besde ditching the connection altogether? I'm not paying $200+ to not be able to connect something at the front of my case.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Unfornately, I couldnt' find specific dimension information for the PSU space.
