I currently have a top spec 55inch Samsung from a couple of years back.

Buying a new house and plan to get a 75inch TV around September/October.

Much win

I have a 40", but the living room is small. Thinking I'll go with a 55" after the superbowl and the "big game" tax goes away.

It shrunk from a 62" DLP to a 58" plasma. Hopefully it will continue to work until some technology with comparable picture quality and black levels become common.

I second this motion. 32" LCD TV but "only" a 96" projector screen.
haha. I had 120" when I first got it but it was projected on a (plaster) wall. Upgraded that to a screen, albeit smaller at 104".

I love the projector but I'm eager to have a better tv-watching arrangement for when I don't want to sit in the dark. I stationary bike and treadmill run in front of it as well, which sounds great until you remember you have to do those things in the dark too. Getting old, to b e honest.

Main TV, 65" Panasonic plasma GREAT picture.
Spare room TV, 55" Samsung 1080. Nice, but not nearly as good as the plasma screen
Also have a 40" JVC 1080 set that I bought for the grandkids to use for playing xbox.

60" plasma in the living room and 100" 1080p LED projector in the bedroom.

You can buy 70" 4K TV for under $1k and 75" 4K TV for under $2k now. At least in the USA. The rest of the world always pay more to get less.

I have a 7 foot wide pull-down screen so it can get out of the way when not being used. 7 feet wide just ends up being 96" diagonal at 16:9. In some ways I'd actually like it larger so I can move the projector back further instead of having it on a rigged up mount in a not quite ideal spot, but I'll just continue to suffer with the horribly tiny 96" for the near future..

And yes, it's nice to have the traditional TV screen for the times when the lights need to be on.

Between 5" and 20" depending on what I'm watching on. My 24" monitor died, and I haven't had a tv in ~20 years.

Just got a 65" Samsung Black Friday. It's the KU6300 not top of the line, but ever since we got a 57" Sony in 2002 for $2000, I swore I'd never pay top dollar for the "latest and greatest" again. We tossed that to the curb in good condition and nobody took it until the garbage men came.

Debating between a 110 or 120" projector setup. 120" acoustically transparent screens start to get expensive.

55" Sharp Aquos N7000. 4k, but it doesn't do true HDR. Still, very happy with it as the picture quality is excellent for the price ($700 a few months ago), and believe it or not the "smart" system/OS is pretty decent.

I want to get an OLED panel eventually though. Luckily prices are coming down and standards have coalesced for HDR as well as the next gen of HDMI, so maybe in a year or two I might look at getting a new TV.

Projectors are cool, but the requirement for a dark room to get the best experience is a big con in my opinion.

I've got a projector. IIRC the picture is 17' wide. I just put it onto a white wall and it looks fine.

55". It's mostly the proper size for where it's in. But a 75" 4k would be quite something especially if I set it up for PC gaming.

My living room layout now is terrible, there's a fireplace that is in the way, as right now there is no way to put my couch directly in front of the TV. What I plan to do is remove the fireplace and make it a blank wall, then I can either put the couch there, OR, put the couch where the TV is now and put the TV on the new wall. If I did that, I could put a bigger TV as it would be a bigger wall. Just need to run extra cat5 and power but not a big deal given I'd be re-drywalling a whole section anyway.

I don't really watch TV a lot though, it actually took me several years after I moved in to even buy one. It's always cold in my living room and I have to crank the furnace to get it comfortable there so I don't tend to even spend much time. If I did something about the heat and layout I'd probably spend more time there and watch movies and stuff. It's a plan. Eventually.

Plan to replace the 70" with a 85" 4K or larger later this year or early next as prices come down.
