I would never recommend a projector unless you have a dedicated space for it.Projectors are cool, but the requirement for a dark room to get the best experience is a big con in my opinion.
Even I can't muster that level of pomposity. But I had a friend who could…I don't have a TV.
The tv interface is still clunky though, takes too long to navigate around. I like that I can cast any of that from my smartphone to the tv... surprised that Samsung supports this like a chromecast.I got a 4k 55" several weeks ago to replace the 42" I had. Man I love the new one. I didn't think I'd like the Smart TV features as much as I do but I pretty much never watch YouTube/Amazon Prime Video/Netflix on my computer anymore; why watch them on a 22" monitor when I have a 55" TV instead? Haha.
As long as you don't start watching HDR or DV stuff on another person's TV you're fine. My Sony was perfect until I got an OLED.
an old fitty Panny Plasma.
Got one that is still in use. Them suckers is heavy. Don't mess up your back tossing that thing around.I still have one of those in the garage. It stopped working...I THINK the power board went out...never could find a replacement that I trusted...so, I replaced it and still have the Panny taking up room in the garage. I guess it's time to haul it to Goodwill for recycling. (Goodwill does electronics recycling here)
