Gonna have to use the Cowboys as my upset pick this week. =( But, that is more wishful thinking. Also, think Brady will beat Manning again.

Just a note:

Dallas is a good team, but last night showed why you simply cannot buy into them until about after week 14 or 15.

I think they're gonna get smoked by the Cards.

And the Patriots were finished after losing to the Dolphins and the Chiefs! Don't forget Detroit! They lose to the Bills and the Panthers, they are done for the season! Indy has lost 3 games, they are certainly finished for the season!

Nobody intelligent thought Dallas was going to win the rest of their games. It is just so incredibly unlikely. They lost a close game that was played very well. I swear, a team loses one game and they are finished forever!

Here is the best part: Denver couldn't get past Seattle, who were manhandled by Dallas. So, obviously, Denver is also finished. They can't be as good as Dallas!

third year in a row denver plays patriots (i am ok with this part) at patriots (but, not at this!).

who makes these biased schedules? can't they take care of this into account when setting schedule?

the playoff game was in denver, but that is based on performance.

If Dallas plays 55%+ run, they win. If they play less than 55% run, they lose.

The run opens the pass, but you can't expect a 40% run 60% pass balance to work. (unless you're P Man, Brees at the Superdome, or Rodgers on a good day, lol).

Given the coaching situation, I give you a greater than 50% chance of being correct though. I don't trust them to understand what happened yesterday if they couldn't adjust to obvious issues in the correct manner.

Tony Romo... lol. The Cowboys should have left the backup quarterback in the game.. they would have taken that last drive for at least a field goal to win the game.

I'm not sure why but it might be because Denver beat NE in the AFC championship game last year so they finished with a better record. In any event Both offenses are clicking right now, Brady has Gronk back in full "Gronk" mode and Lafelle is starting to heat up as well. PM has the best options in the league to throw to and he's next to impossible to sack, the Pat's need to get a run game going early or Von Miller will make it a miserable day for him and also to keep the ball out of PM's hands.

Why did NBC not flex in Denver vs New England?

While it seems like the "better game" the Ravens are up against Shittsburg in what is likely to be a very important AFC North matchup. With both teams doing better than expected, it is likely going to be a good game.

Also, Champ Bailey official calls it quits.

I sure as hell hope they show the game, good God I hate them being forced to show the Jag's every week, (FL), this is THE game we all want to see, both PM and TB have had an outstanding October and both teams know how important it is to win it, neither wants to travel in the post-season and play a road playoff game.

EDIT: I just checked and the local CBS IS showing the Denver/NE game, (sigh of relief) I would hate to try and hunt down a crappy low-res stream for such an important game!..

I get stuck with the Raiders and/or 49ers every week. I happen to want to watch the Raiders vs Seahawks, but I also want to watch Denver vs Patriots! Guess I'll have to watch it on Game Rewind. I just don't see Ravens vs Steelers as having national appeal. It was different when the Steelers didn't need Geritol and the Ravens had Lewis and Reed, but I dunno about now.

And blown calls were directly responsible for their last 2 wins. Non existent PI call 2 weeks ago and a non existent delay of game last week.

Howie Long said some funny shit!

ripped from bleacher report

Kyle Long had a rough Sunday.

In addition to the 51-23 humiliation his team endured at the hands of the Patriots, the Chicago Bears offensive lineman received a flag after having the gall to protect his McNuggets from destruction.

The bizarre incident occurred in the second quarter after a New England sack of Jay Cutler. Patriots linebacker Akeem Ayers ended up at the bottom of a pile after the play, and in extricating himself, slammed a cleat into Kyle’s family jewels.

Click here for video of the kick.

Naturally, Kyle took objection to the attempted on-field vasectomy and pulled Ayers from the pile by the offending leg. The pull resulted in a penalty for unnecessary roughness and several raised eyebrows around the league.

One of those concerned was Kyle’s father, longtime Fox NFL analyst Howie Long, who would prefer his son isn’t rendered sterile on the job. Howie expressed disapproval of the penalty during “Tough Calls With Mike Pereira,” interrupting the segment to defend Kyle's right to protect his guavas.

“Do you actually think he was pulling the guy out of the pile?” Long asked host Mike Pereira. “I think if we go back to the video, we spot-shadow the crotch area. That was what was happening…notice the kick to the crotch…is that what the league wants?”

After spot-shadowing the crotch area (a delightful phrase), Pereira agreed the officials missed the call.

"I think after further review, I think that Ayers should’ve been called for the penalty,” Pereira said. “Because Kyle, all he did was grab the leg that was stuck in his crotch.”

“I’m proud of Kyle,” Howie said. “A year ago he might still be choking [Ayers].”

As for Kyle, he’s just glad dad is looking out for him.

That’s a distinct change of tone for the Chicago lineman, who earlier in the day was telling his father to stop looming over him at work.

Sorry, Kyle. You may be a grown, bald man with a beard, but Pops is always going to be looking out for you. He isn’t about to see his hopes for grandchildren lost on a cheap shot. And after all, watching over you is literally his job.

Alshon shoots some hoops at the united center with Hanna Storm. Bears need to let him be the leader. Why the hell did he only get 3 targets a game for the last 3 games. Did you see him complain? Nope he ran down the field blocking for Forte on his three big runs the last two weeks. Guy should be the leader in that lockerroom.
