How can I keep the dirt off my car???

I have to park my car on the road at my dad's house. On the road, an unusual amount of dust and dirt collects....JUST in front of my dad's house and nowhere else. Every time a car goes by, my car is hammered with dirt. I work graveyards so my car is pretty much parked there all day.

If I want my car to look clean, I would have to wash it everyday (no time for that). Is there any good detergent I could use that will "repel" dirt? I wouldn't mind taking a hose to it now...but instead of dirt there are waterspots everywhere .

Maybe I should've chosen white over hunter green as the color...

I thought about a cover. Would the paint job suffer any from continually removing and placing a cover on?

AFAIK, the paint job should not suffer if it is a quality cover, especially if it is designed for your car.

I have heard some things about covers holding in too much moisture and causing damage, but I think that would be more relevant if you were going to store your car for longer periods of time. Plus, I hear there are covers that let moisture pass through them.
