How can I make Scandisk fix all the bad file directories without prompting me on every fix?

This is starting to get annoying. I've been sitting there for 40 minutes with no end in site telling scandisk to fix my file directories. Is there a way I can go in there and have scandisk just fix everything without having to prompt me every time?

PS.. I thought that putting my personal files in a separate partition would help keep them safe in case I had a problem with my OS. This is turning out to be so untrue and the fact that I had partitions is the crux of this problem.

more info on your computer and operating system needed as well as which scandisk you used (windows or dos based)

Did you try running it from the command line and using the /? switch for help?

I don't know if it's DOS or Windows. It's the scandisk that appears when you go to install windows. It won't let me reinstall windows on any partition until I've let Scandisk fix the problems on the C Drive partition.

Well.. More info, eh? I have 2 other threads running related to the same problem.

It's a multi boot system. I originally had 5 partitions for various OS and for personal files. Somehow, I have 2 partitions now. My partitions are pretty well screwed, but I'd love to reinstall an OS somewhere on the drive and try to retrieve some of the personal files that I can't get to before I start over again from scratch here.

You need a better tool like Norton Disk Doctor to fix problems that serious. Scandisk won't cut it.

Is Norton Disc Doctor part of the Utilities package?
