How can I make this into an HTPC?

So far I have a

P3 600 Mhz
Intel Motherboard with case/psu
20 Gb HD
GF2 Gts with svideo out
SoundBlaster Live

All I need to do is buy the appropriate svideo/Audio cables and hook it up right? Or is there something i'm missing?

You're set for playback, except adding a wired or wifi-g card or USB adapter if you want to stream content from another PC or surf the web.

For recording you'd need a TV tuner card (or video capture card), and for better than VCR quality most likely a faster CPU.

Get a WinTV 250PVR Card for TV tuner and recording and you wont need to worry about hardware limiitations since it has onboard hardware recording. Uses only few percentage of total system resources.
