How can I remove the Network Log on promt??

I want to remove the Log in the network prompt on Win98.When I got @Home installed the installer did it but I have reinstalled 98 and no one there @Home knows how, or will tell me.I have been using tweakUI but that only works when it wants to.It was great to boot up the PC, get a drink, and come back with the PC ready to go!
I hope someone else knows this.

That is what I'm trying to get rid of, the Windows log in prompt.The login when the PC first boots and starts windows,sorry if I wasn't clear.

well, what you could do is this:

turn off file and print sharing!!! do that first.
if that doesn't work (and you know a good bit about setting up your network adapters under "networking" menu, you can delete all the newtorking adapters (like tcp/ip and your nic one, windows login, etc. [all of them]). then go to add remove programs. go to windows tab (middle one) and remove your communications.
then restart your computer. then add your communications back via how i said to delete them (do it backwords). then add all your stuff back in "networking" and that is suppose to replicate a total reinstall for windows from your networking.

also, editing your registry will change it. if that doesn't work, message me

I don't follow what Trend's line of thought.

If I understand the question correctly, this will work:

The way to get rid of the windows-desktop login is to set the password to blank (nothing)
Control Panel -> Passwords -> Windows logon

I agree with Norsak make the win98 password blank. You may have to delete the "username".pwl (if user name is ted it is ted.pwl) file in the windows directory then reboot and make sure the password box has nothing in it.

Got it guys! Thanks a ton.Deleted the PWL reference in WIN.INI and the PWL file in windows.I had no password to begin with.
