If I have 0% of One dollar, then I have 0 dollars.
If I have 100% of One Dollar, then I have 1 dollar.

I believe people are applying the same logic to the percent of a poll that they have ...
of course still, your argument stands, as they don't say 100% more of one poll.....

Let's pretend that this was posted in HT.

new = new number of polls
old = old # of polls

Let's say that for some bizarre reason you'd like to advertise an increase in the number of polls in your thread. You should type "Now with x% more polls!", where x =

100 * (new - old) / old

So if you go from zero to one poll, you can say "Now with 100 / 0 % more polls!". I will appreciate this, but nearly everyone else will think that you're a dork.
