How can you tell if a pair of Oakleys are fake or legit?

Some guy on CL is selling a pair. Holding them in my hands..they looked kinda cheap, but he has the case and box and everything else looked legit.
They are the Twitch model, which isn't expensive to start with ... $85 online.

Is there anyway to tell for sure?

I don't really like them, but since they're Oakleys for a decent price, I wanted to buy them anyways... maybe give them to my dad or something.

Bull crap. Mine were 300 and it was the best money ever spent. Improves visibility, no squinting, eye protection. Do yourself a favor and get some really nice sunglasses, you'll never go back to cheap ones.

Agreed, Ive had my Twenty X's for 9 years now... still the best pair of shades Ive ever had.

I like my oakley's except for they seem to put added strain on my eyes by making things look smaller. Anyone else notice this? My $8 pair doesn't do this.

While I've never spent 300, I've spent enough and it's true. Those $5 Wal-Mart specials just don't cut it.

that pair of oakleys you got are probably fake.
Oakleys use good lens, they shouldn't be straining your eyes at all.

Oakleys use good lens, they shouldn't be straining your eyes at all.

I bought them from Sunglass Hut. They're an $80 pair of Oakley Five's, everything is engraved into the plastic. Hard to believe that they're fake as they also came with the Oakley warranty card and everything. I noticed the slight strain immediately but figured I would just get used to it. Well it hasn't gone away, maybe Oakley would help me out if I called their customer service? Don't mean to go too far off topic here, but was just curious if anyone else had noticed it.

if the MSRP is $85 bucks, check out local sporting good stores.

They might have a coupon you can use. I've noticed a lot of stores have been having huge sales to draw in customers.
$85 really isn't much for a pair of oakleys.
