how clean is your car?

not necessarily in terms of dirt, but garbage/clutter.

it astounds me how messy some people's cars can get... in one of my friends' cars, I can hardly step into it without stepping on an empty water bottle or something.

my car is mostly clutter free... I keep a pile of napkins in the side compartment on the door and my trunk is always a little cluttered (baring the 3-4 times/year when I'll actually clean it out), but the inside of my car is pretty clear. I've just gotten into the habit of taking any trash (empty drink containers, junk mail, etc) out with me whenever I get home, or when I'm going into a store.

It does annoy me somewhat to have to get into someone's car who has trash, empty water bottles, clothes, papers, etc scattered throughout the car. It's especially crappy if I can't even step in w/o stepping on something.

Mine is very clean. My last car I bought new and had for 10 years and it still looked practically new inside. Paint was shiny but had some chips and scratches, wheels were pretty dull though and could have used a repaint.

I generally don't have shit lying around anywhere in my car and I vacuum it a couple times a month.

i have 0 garbage/clutter on the interior of my car. my trunk only has my cleats and football gloves in the net because i play football every saturday. other than that, there is nothing that sits in my car.

I guess I'm like everyone else in this thread. The inside of my car is nearly always spotless. I get extremely annoyed when someone leaves a bottle or wrappers in my car. Usually I bitch about it and it doesn't happen again.

Actually, just this weekend a friend mentioned that they had never seen my car so messy. Although I had just come back from a trip which was the reason it was like that. Now the outside of my car, I don't keep nearly as clean as I should. I hate washing cars by hand and don't take it to the car wash much either.

I never leave anything in my car that can be seen from just looking in the window. Not a napkin, candy wrapper, water bottle; nothing. I usually have a few items in the glove box and trunk or whatever, but those are obviously closed and out of sight. I hate when a passenger, or someone borrowing my car leaves anything in it. Damn slobs.

My M3 is immaculate. Just got a full detail and I have only driven it once since.

Mine stays relatively clean. Sometimes I let water bottles fill all my available cup holders before clearing them, but that's few and far between.

It's much easier now that I have a car. My F150 had a lot of cup holders lol.

My kids are constantly leaving stuff in my car, so it's pretty cluttered most of the time. I clean it out a couple of times a month but it's a losing battle.

My car is usually kept clean of clutter except for water bottles once in awhile. I try to clean it out when I get gas. My wife in her car is a complete mess. Drives me nuts. It's not trash, mostly boxes of training material and loose paper everywhere.

Pristine. A little debris from shoes on the floor mats, but I shake those out about once a week and vacuum about once a month. I do let the outside stay dirty if rain is in the forecast or if the streets still have water on them. If only sunshine is in the forecast, then I keep the outside pretty pristine too.

I have a box of Kleenex in the center console, manual, registration and insurance papers in the glove box, and a garage door opener clipped to the visor. Other than that there is nothing in my car, or the trunk. Oh, I do add a snow brush in the winter.

I vacuum the drivers floor mat every Friday when I get home from work, clean the whole interior whenever I wash and wax it.

No garbage etc... but always needs a wipe down or vacuuming thanks to the kids and dogs.

Now the wife's..... she does mos tof the driving with the kids and you can't fathom the amount of crap three kids can leave in the back of a van!

idk... my BF's car is a wreck, but his house is spotless.

(otoh, I once dated a guy where, on our second date, he had to spend 10 minutes cleaning shit off the passenger seat of his car before I could get in so he could give me a ride home (I walked to the date and he drove; I suggested he drive me back afterward and come inside for a drink)... amazingly, turned out that he was a total hoarder)

I drive a truck that also doubles for work so from time to time, I'll get a pile of work clothes and misc behind the foldable center console. otherwise I keep it clean. now my truck bed, on the other hand heh

Every time you pump gas. Throw away all your garbage while you wait. My car is filth free using this method.
