How close is your home to a nuclear power plant?

Looks like about 240 miles by road, or 170 "as the crow flies." Diablo Canyon is the closest operational plant...but Rancho Seco is only about 70 miles. (decommissioned in 1987)

Diablo Canyon is 161 miles for me but don't they have a nuclear facility in Lawrence Livermore?

The reactor at Penn State is a research reactor and not technically a power plant; I imagine that's why it's not listed. I got to tour it while at school, pretty cool.

I've always meant to ask, btw, whereabouts near Allentown are you? I was born in Allentown and grew up outside.

There's one about 35 miles from where I live that I know about and it's not on this map.

That water stops getting cooled, and there's going to be problems!
