Warmed up here too, now we're just getting lot of snow. Maybe a foot or so. Couple accidents on the highway and some parts are now closed. My sister is traveling with the kids from a hockey tournament and had to take a longer way because of the closure. My parents were out of town and decided to come back yesterday instead of today, think they did good.

Driveway is snow blowed, for now. I imagine the city plows will be out tonight.

Nearly -10F. Although no wind, so it doesn't really feel all that bad.

Last week we had the bomb sharknado or whatever the news was calling it, and even though it was 20F or so, it felt absolutely awful outside due to the wind blowing.

My parents were in Ottawa the other day and said the same, the temp was not that low but the wind was crazy. It hit like -50 with the windchill.

Woah it's suppose to be PLUS 1 Wednesday. That's one extreme to the other. Downside when it's hot like that is everything gets slushy and crap. I prefer when it stays below zero. But I won't really complain it will be a short break from the cold. This was only a teaser, it's still early in January. Jan-Feb tends to be -30's for us.

Thankfully our insane cold's last day was yesterday. Today it's like a frickin heat wave; 34 deg. F (says it feels like 24). Until January 22nd, as far as the forecast goes, it's in the 20s and 30s, and even says 52 deg. F for this Thursday. Hallelujah!

I don't think freezer truck run at -25C, they are -10C at most.

Never mind, it can go down to -30C.

yeah, -20 to -30C should be standard for long-term storage. Most of our walk-ins and the freezers where we keep enzymes and sensitive crap is -20 to -25C.

and lol at Frankie Carbone cold.

Not cold enough. I just saw a gnat flying around the house. No idea where the little fucker was born. He should have froze to death weeks ago.

We have tons of flies in our DMS100 room, no idea why they seem attracted to there but it's always funny to see them flying weakly or even walking in circles. I usually step on them to put them out of their misery. Most of em are dead now though. They eventually get sucked into fan filters and get dehydrated to death. That's got to be a horrible way to go lol.

Woke up to 60F and all the snow melted. I hope the local mountain can blow some snow and recover quickly.

Currently 42F, dropping to 8F tonight.

Snow on the way!! 1-3" possible. Most since Feb 25 2015, no doubt. I'll believe it when I see it - it's not every year it snows.

I sure enjoyed the sunny 63F this afternoon.

Low teens for low and low 30s for the high for the next few days and we are in the deep South. And we did have a few inches of snow and sleet today and more tonight. A lot of places closed today.
