How come everyone hates McDonalds?

Okay, I know what you're all going to say, McDonalds serve the nastiest food under the heavens and you wouldn't stomach it for $10000.

But I think McDonalds is rather tasty, even delicious. Sure, the food is godly in how unhealthy it is, but let us just forget that for a second. Many of us can hardly rightfully claim that we eat healthy foods on a regular basis.

I personally love McDonalds. I hardly eat it, but that is not because I think the food is nasty. Heck, I prefer McDonalds over Inn 'n Out, to be honest. Taco Bell is pretty damn good too. So if McDonald's really is so disgusting, how is it so successful? All little kids love McDonalds. In my very honest opinion, McDonalds fries are extremely tasty.

Is the food served there REALLY disgusting? Or is it a 'fad' to hate on McDonalds simply because it is being different? And contrary to the other thread, most of the McDonalds that I have been too have been fairly clean and provide fast service. Much more so than the Carls Jrs around here. Of course, we have to keep things in perspective.... it IS a fast food chain. It is one thing to diss McDonald's because the food tastes bad, but it is another to diss them because it is unhealthy.

BTW. I don't have any affiliation with McDs besides the fact that I love an occasional double cheeseburger and small fries. I don't know anyone who owns/works at/operates/etc. at a McDonalds.

Because there are tons more fast food places that I'd rather eat at over McDs.

Because it's cool to hate McDonalds. Just as it is fashionable to hate Walmart and Microsoft.

I don't hate McD or even dislike, just like other places better.

For example: Arbys has better fries, love the curly fries. Wendys and Whataburgers have better grill chicken sandwitches. Sodas are the same everywhere. I don't eat hamburgers at all.

Therefore, I usually don't go to McD.

ive been trying to gain weight, well kinda wanting to slow it down now. But I usually eat mcdonalds 4x a week. I just buy 2 hamburgers and eat um like crackers. The mcd's hamburger has less fat and like 1/2 the saturated fat compared to the whopper jr, and about the same protein.

It is also no more unhealthy than the same foods the average person cooks at home.

That's a generalization that can't be proved neither true nor false-hence-it's meaningless.

I like contrast.

It's been a few years since I've even eaten a mcdonald's burger.
If I go there, its for the chicken selects and fries... occasionally, if I'm broke I'll get the $1 chicken sandwiches...
oh, and of course breakfast! mcdonalds is the king for breakfast! In fact, the simple Sausage Biscuit is one of my favorite foods! cheap too!

I love mcDonalds. Double Quarter Pounders FTW!!!

Over the weekend, I must have ate at least 50 chicken nuggets since they have a special 6-piece for $1 right now.

Taco bell>McDonalds>Burger King>Wendys

It's funny because a lot of people dis on McDonalds and then go over to Chipotle thinking that it's a healthy alternative. Which is really funny becuase a typical burrito from there is 1000+ calories. And good luck trying to easily find the nutritional info on Chipotle's site (without searching for it).

(and yes I know that Chipotle is owned by McD's)

Um, no. It's a fact. A fact I have proved in other threads on this very subject.

Everytime I have some, it runs through me like some motherfarkin' marathon-winnin' Kenyan champion motherfarker; so no, that's my reasoning not much liking McD's.

edit: I'm cool w/ Wendy's, though. That Dave Thomas is a pudgy runner.

Or Panera, where a Sierra Turkey Sandwich has nearly twice the calories and saturated fat than a Big Mac. Or nearly ANY sit down resturant where the burgers are nearly twice the calories and fat as well.

I stopped in at Famous Dave's last week and had this beast:

Ultimate BBQ Burger, ½ lb.
Topped with Georgia chopped pork, two strips of jalapeño bacon, cheddar cheese, and our signature Beam & Cola sauce.

I think I doubled my cholesterol in one sitting. It was actually labourous trying to eat this thing. I can't even fathom how absolutely horrible that was for me.
