The food is poison, in both taste and health. It is absolute garbage.
The food is no more unhealthy than the same food cooked at any other resturant (in fact, healthier than many sit down places). It is also no more unhealthy than the same foods the average person cooks at home.
Is that so? Care to eat it for a month, 3 meals a day, and see how you feel afterwards?
Care to stop watching propaganda films and think you're being witty when you mindlessly parrot their supposed story lines?
Supersize me would have been the same no matter where he ate. He force fed himself 3 times his normal calorie intake.
And my diet has a lot of saturated fats in it because I'm on a high protien diet (I'm a weight lifter) and happen to like beef... I also do not have a family history of heart disease.
But, if you care to pay me, sure: I'll be bored and eat only McDonald's food for a month... and still be just as healthy as I am now. Hell, I probably lose weight since I eat less when I'm bored with food.
The thing is, is it healthy eating? I say it is not, you say it is.
You explain to me how white bread filled with trans fatty acids and a few grams of beef with a side of fries is healthy eating, especially with HFCS coke to go with it.
Explain to me how that will NOT lower your insulin sensitivity if you keep eating that (and in the end that will cause the LDL to rise, lowered insuln sensitivity always does).
I guess some lard and a keg of beer every night would be even worse but not much.
My point from the beginning is that McDonald's in no less healthy than the same foods served in any other restaurant, or at the vasy majority of American homes.
Now, if you want to preach a healthier diet, than one would fore-go those types of foods ANYWHERE... not just at McDonald's.
Finally, there is less than 1g of trans fats in a McDonald's Burger. I wouldn't call that "filled."
Yes there is, before the dressing and cheese which makes up a helluvalot more than the meat in a McDonalds burger.
But ok, i agree, you should't eat that crap anywhere.
Your argument is that McDonalds is not worse than say... Burger King, and that is probably true, but Burger King did not have to change cheese and dressing when we changed the rules here, McDonalds did.
Add to that that McDonald had to change their fries not once, not twice but three times to get it right and burger king still had to change nothing.
But of course, if you want to eat healthy, you'll cook your own food, and tuna is a great snack with an apple or two.
