2 x McDonald's Hamburger (520 cal/18 g fat/2 g fiber/66 g carbs)
Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich (360 cal/7 g fat/2 g fiber/44 g carbs)

Accurate? Say how? You're comparing double beef to chicken?

McDonald's Hamburger
Serving Size: 100 g

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich
Serving Size: 230 g

Actually, you're right, I should have compared 2.3 hamburgers to a wendy's chicken, not just two. Correction then:

2.3 x McDonald's Hamburger (598 cal/20.7 g fat/2.3 g fiber/75.9 g carbs)
Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich (360 cal/7 g fat/2 g fiber/44 g carbs)

Even more unhealthy on diect comparison! Congrats Raduque!

he wasn't comparing a mcdonald hamburger to a chicken sandwich you dense fool. He compared a hamburger from mcdonalds to a hamburger from BK to an Arby's roast beef.

then he compared chicken sandwiches from 3 different places.

you're an idiot.

I don't. I buy Ground Round rather than sirloin because I hate a dry, chewy burger. I do eat whole wheat buns though, but only because I like to sh!t.

Good for you, let's see how it is when you are 50.

Alright Mr. Gainward Ti500

I loved that card too until I sold it awhile back.

I hate mickey d's because the last 3 times i have gone there over the last 1.5 years. I have been sick less than 20 minutes later. And no it's not because it is fast food because i actually like BK. GO figure.

McD's = cook with trans fat
Wendy's = no trans fat in chicken or fries

If I am going to eat fast food, which I don't usually do, I'll choose Wendy's over McD's. And whatever happened to McD's promise to drop trans fatty cooking oils...

Because
McDonalds << Subway < Quiznos

I'll freely admit I don't have the healthiest of diets. Subway & Quiznos is an easy and cheap way to try and help correct that.

i think mcdonalds food is horrible, except some of their breakfast foods like a sausage egg and cheese biscuit....yummy. for lunch or dinner i would choose any other fast food joint before mcdonalds.

But I think McDonalds is rather tasty, even delicious. Sure, the food is godly in how unhealthy it is, but let us just forget that for a second. Many of us can hardly rightfully claim that we eat healthy foods on a regular basis.

I personally love McDonalds. I hardly eat it, but that is not because I think the food is nasty. Heck, I prefer McDonalds over Inn 'n Out, to be honest. Taco Bell is pretty damn good too. So if McDonald's really is so disgusting, how is it so successful? All little kids love McDonalds. In my very honest opinion, McDonalds fries are extremely tasty.

Is the food served there REALLY disgusting? Or is it a 'fad' to hate on McDonalds simply because it is being different? And contrary to the other thread, most of the McDonalds that I have been too have been fairly clean and provide fast service. Much more so than the Carls Jrs around here. Of course, we have to keep things in perspective.... it IS a fast food chain. It is one thing to diss McDonald's because the food tastes bad, but it is another to diss them because it is unhealthy.

BTW. I don't have any affiliation with McDs besides the fact that I love an occasional double cheeseburger and small fries. I don't know anyone who owns/works at/operates/etc. at a McDonalds.

I used to love McDonalds and eat it almost every day during my middle school years, because we had one across the street from our school. Before that, I loved McDonalds still but didnt go that often just because of convenience.

During highschool i occasionally ate it when I could, which was maybe once a week.

Then during first year university i hardly ate it at all [granted, i put on 30 pounds in my freshman year, i was very active my entire life and then i stopped during university... ive lost most of the weight ive put on, i was pretty skinny before...]

Now i just dont have a stomach that can handle the McDonalds like i used to... now whenever i eat it i get a bad case of the McSh|ttles, even tho i now LIVE across the street from a 24/7 one. If i could handle the food like before i'd be there pretty often... but i just cant

That aside, let me ask you a serious question. Do you think Americans would be better off if they ate healthier and stopped frequenting Fast Food Restaurants?

I think Americans (Hell, people all over the world) would be better off if they learned moderation in all things and lived more active lifestyles.

But that wasn't the point of the thread, now was it?

BTW, I'm not being an "expert in nutrition" in this thread. Only exposing the irrational myth that somehow McDonald's burgers are less healthy than burgers served at any other restaurant.

Actually for many of us McDonalds is a synonym for Fast Food Joints. So when we say McDonalds food is crap we mean all fast food restaurants food is crap for the most part. At least at Sit Down Restaurants they offer you healthy choices that actually taste good such as Baked Chicken and Broiled Fish. Even AppleBees has items listed on their menu for the health conscious.

And yet Applebees refuses to list the nutritional info of their foods. Because they usually take healthy food and make it unhealthy to remain competitive in taste... as do most restaurants. The broiled fish is smothered in butter and oils. The baked chicken will often be much the same. Hell, many places will smother grilled chicken in margarine for taste. Sad, yes I know. But that's what happens when you are in competition for taste... you make it taste good no matter what it takes.

Most people in this thread are singling out McDonald's, and not using it as merely an example or synonym. People will tell you how awful McDonald's is then tell you of their love for another burger joint.

ofcourse I almost never eat at any fastfood joints....

Ah now you are wrong, AppleBees does list the nutritional info, at least on the items they have listed in the Healthy Choice Menu. I know from experience as I eat there when on rare occasions I do go out to a Restaurant

Yeah, their "Weight Watchers" stuff is listed. But none of their other stuff is even available.

But from what I've seen they do not list trans fats, saturated fats, or sodium. Just calories, totals fats and fiber.

McDonalds is a kids appeal restaurant, similar to Chuck E Cheese...

Whereas Wendy's and BurgerKing are more adult oriented.

Nothing worse than watching 40 yr olds sitting around still eating happy meals and playing with the little transformer toy inside.

Those meals don't taste like they have any trans fats from margerine of saturated fats from butter on them. If they do use oil it's probably some kind of healthy vegitable oil.

Anyway, if people ate McDonalds or any other Restaurant food as seldom as I do what's in their food wouldn't really matter. The problem with Fast Food Joints is that they are too convenient and people are lazy, a bad combination.
